    Too poor for mods
I know tonneau threads are played out but I searched and couldn't find an answer. I'm really liking the bak x4s or x4st (reported quality issues aside), but, I'm wondering if the side rails leave enough width to lay a sheet of plywood in the bed resting on the tailgate. If not I'm looking at the Lomax stance which looks like a plenty wide mounting system but I think I'd prefer the roll up with t-slots if it still lets me haul sheet goods occasionally.

Rexing front and rear dash camera, some LEDs, Weathertech HP floor liners/vent shades/bug deflector/underseat storage bin, OEM Ford bed mat, Diode Dynamics SS3 Pros in selective yellow, Diode Dynamics 18" light bar in amber and universal Carhartt seat covers. Bak Revolver X4S tonneau cover. Android Auto USB plug upgrade! H11 to H9. Sound deadened/insulated floors and rear wall. VLED license plate reverse light. Yokohama GO15s. Rokblokz mud flaps. "Custom" 3in Flowmaster Super 50 Series cat back. J&L catch can. AMP Powersteps
I like the X4S on my F150. Only complaints are the little corner tabs like to come off and the vinyl gets stiff which makes it hard if not impossible to open in the winter unless it's garage kept. Still wouldn't change my decision and would buy it all over again.

I am about to buy the X4S and was concerned about the same thing regarding carrying materials. Once I get it installed I will post some pics/share some opinions.

Almost purchased a tri fold but was concerned that many of them fold up towards the back window and block the third brake light which is a no-no at least here in PA.

I like that I will be able to see out the back window, too.

Just installed the BAK Revolver on my 24 OR. I'd had the same cover on a Tundra and was very happy with it.

One fitment note: They provide a roll of self-adhesive 3/4" foam to install on the bulkhead of the bed, behind the cab. When you install the foam on the angled part of the bed that meets the cover side rails, be sure to install two rows of the foam, next to each other, for that last couple of inches on either side. If you don't do this, there will be a sizeable gap that will allow water into the bed.

One other pro-tip for installing the revolver - be sure to install the OEM tie down adapters into the OEM rail system before you bolt on the BAK rails. It's very difficult to install anything on the OEM rails once the BAK rails are installed, and may require you to take the adapters apart just to get them on.
