Won’t be ordering from these clowns again. Fabrication takes time yes, but communication does not! This company should be avoided. 1 out of 5 stars

    I feel ya.

Unfortunately, I don't like the style of most other rear bumpers. Tho, having one is better than not.

You have to actually receive the bumper tho…. These guys can’t even email customers let alone fabricate or ship product.

Just joined the group to keep up with updates. I actually have a 5th Gen 4Runner (although, we also have a 1st gen Tacoma). I ordered a rear swing out bumper back in March from OG. I've been watching the updates on Instagram, which is somewhat helpful, but like everyone else, having a heck of time getting good contact from the owner Joe or their guy Kirk Cruz, it's very come and go. Kirk promised me 6-7 weeks from the time I ordered, but we're well past that date now. Someone said they were able to call Joe, would that person be willing to share, or message me that number by chance?

Thanks guys, hope those who are waiting sees something soon...

Just an update.... still waiting. The lack of communication is beginning to get beyond frustrating. It's been two months since I was able to get in contact with Joe through IG, it sounded like he was going to try and get my order out to me before the middle of June, then silence. Kirk has been less than helpful with basic replies, like it's the same reply that's sent to everyone.

Please tell me someone has had any luck in receiving their orders that are not local.

    Update: finally got my bumper.

My wait time was around 14 or 15 months. This was for a swingout bumper.

Not gonna lie: I thought about ordering another rear bumper from someone else every day for the past year :)

I think when they put the swingout bumper back up for ordering, it would be a much smoother process. Joe just bought some huge machines so they could manufacture all the parts for the swingout in house. Sucks to be first, tho.

Chiming in. I ordered a swingout back in April that at the time had a 12 week lead time. Have gone back and forth at first with Kirk and now cant get a single response from him. Joe in the other hand has been responding at least once a week to my dm's on instagram. Mainly on scheduling a time to have the bumper installed once its ready. I dont want to wait another few months to have it installed, so getting all the scheduling issues out of the way wont slow the process of getting my bumper. I trust Joe to make things right. I've dealt with him multiple times over the years with other vehicles. Will keep this thread updated.

Joe posted/tagged me on the Outgear Solutions Instagram that my bumper is ready. :D It'll be a little over a month from when I was originally suppose to have it. Next Friday is my appointment.

I’m interested in ordering a tube bumper for my second gen and they said they even have them in stock, I shot them an email and the guy replied the same day saying if I pay with Zelle I can save 10 percent, I emailed him back and haven’t heard back yet, they’re local to me so he said I can pick it up, their website says show up by appointment only.

Anyone do the Zelle method with them? I know for some reason every single aftermarket bumper/armor company has extremely nightmare scenarios regarding communication so should I just pay with credit card to protect myself? The guy seems legit but I read too many stories of people on here some literally having no communication for 3 years with some companies and then one day their bumper shows up after all that time or some guys just get fucked by pieces of shit like pelfry

Sooo on one hand I can tell you my pretty bad experience with Outgear or to either look elsewhere or put it on a cc so you can get your money back if things dont work out. I dont want to slander the guy as he's a nice guy that is way over his head since covid basically. He's not out to scam anyone just some personal life things that are keeping him away from the shop. And if you want to read how my experience was you can pm me Also I strongly recommend that you have him install it at his shop! That way and defects and fitment issues can be addressed right there and then.

if I can get a hold of him again and do end up ordering from him I was actually planning to have him install it since I don’t want to cut up my truck myself he said they charge $250 for the install which didn’t seem bad. Did he install yours?

I placed the order mid April. It was a 12 week wait time. Never really received an update that it was ready. One of the guys that I would email back and forth with wasn't any help. Eventually Joe reached out and kept me updated. Reason why it took so long to have it installed, was timing on both ends. He'd be tied up with shop stuff when I was free or I'd be out of town when he was free.

These are picks he sent me of the install process. I haven't taken any of my own pics.

Has anyone been able to get ahold of Joe or Kirk been trying to get ahold of him for over a couple weeks. Ordered a bumper in July and was wondering how it was coming along.
