This the person that put TRD Pro decals on his Tacoma. You bought your TRD Pro brand new? I probraly could have bought brand new TRD Pro, but I don’t like the sunroof. Also, at that time, COVID-19 hit, shortage of chips, and all dealers no can order nothing. What can anybody do?

I get maybe wanting the pro grill because it looks better... but a massive pro decal on the rear quarter panels is strange behavior imo. If i had a pro with those massive decals from factory I'd probably remove them, I def wouldn't be adding them to an imitation pro. But I get it, personal preference - some dudes sit when they pee, etc.

 

You can take an SR5, order all the PRO features from Toyota and retrofit it all, and you still have an SR5. Just because it has the parts now doesnt make it a PRO, it makes it an SR5 with a PRO parts. Your title still says SR5, insurance rates are still for an SR5, its registered as an SR5. It's still an SR5.

Just like the posers who badge a US market Infiniti G35 with Japanese market Skyline V35 badges. Sure, it's the same car with the exception of LHD vs RHD, but it's not a Skyline. You can't register it as a Skyline. YOU DONT HAVE A SKYLINE.

With that said, to each his own. Does someone upbadging their truck have an affect on my life, nope. I mean I probably won't take them serious and I'll just move on and not think twice about their truck again regardless of how nice it might be. They end up at the bottom of my list of builds or rapport.

Been going on forever. A long time ago, my neighbor had a '65 LeMans. He bought the required parts to make it a GTO. Grille said GTO, title said LeMans. Didn't get a penny more when he sold.

 

my daily driver is a 22 sr5 ….no stickers. And it's still a bad ass truck.
