Was it intentional? I shot one in head like that but was unintentional...

 

Yes it was. I shot one with the same 30-06 free handed walking into my stand one day. It was looking at me broadside, I hit it at the tip of the nose and opened it like a can of sardines.

The dudes that run the taxidermy and butcher shop where im from often get invited to thin doe herds at the high fence ranches every year. They head shot them so that they dont lose any meat. Im a damn good shot but I aint trying for a head shot lol

 

I've shot some in the neck intentionally. Just because of how deep I was near the swamp. I either dropped em or missed em.

Nah, saw a few does and a spike last time I was out. Gonna hunt again Friday, maybe Saturday but its supposed to rain.

Yep, its not been a good year for me.

 

I missed a nice buck in Botetort Co. going for the head. But my first deer was a head shot with a 30 M1 carbine in Alleghany Co. Va. (after I hit it in the gut and the leg and the neck and the gut again)

 

Me either, I've missed a doe with the crossbow and slug gun, may have been the same one for all I know. The kids are carrying the freezer stacking so far with 3 in there so far

We need 3 more to last us. Gun season goes out Saturday and late muzzle loader comes back in until January 4th

 

I got a corn pile, some food plot growing, and where do i see a buck ? On neighbors property where they got nothing! Must be acorns over there cuz he wasnt even on camera...

 

Is this considered Deere sausage?
