Just got a battery tester, which asks for the battery CCA rating.
On my 2012 2.7L, 4x4, have a Toyota-branded battery (now four years old...) and I cannot see the CCA rating printed anywhere on the thing!

What would be the standard CCA rating for the 2.7L engine/base model?

From a quick Bing search looks like around 750 CCA is the magic number.

Sounds about right, though if you're in a colder area see what it costs to get a tad more. Might be cheap insurance.

I am in the coastal Northeast, which is a tad warmer than inland, and also getting warmer every year.
That's what happens when you buy a top snowblower, like I did... got it out twice in past three winters.

Other consideration: I often do short trips, not ideal for a decent onboard recharge.

Can you go for a longer drive?
Or maybe invest in a trickle charger when not driving?

I try to do longer rides.
I have a charger, and am good about charging every three weeks or so. Now with my tester, I have a better feel for the health of battery. Family cars are 2008 Ody, 2012 Taco, 2018 RDX and snowbird neighbor 2002(?) Corolla, got my hands full!
