Was it up to the contractor to do the survey and find the property line? With us it is "build line set by buyer".

Hopefully your install comes up soon before the ground gets anymore frozen.

I do not usually collect trivia. There is a big book called "An Incomplete Education" that covers all topics (psychology, religions, world politics, math, physics, literature, etc) in brief that one may not have studied when they spent years studying a single are in college (or not at all). They like to include small asides like this so it is not just dry facts. For example, some do not know Newton attended college on scholarship ... not family money. And Charles Dickens spent childhood years in a British "work house" gluing labels on bottles.

Stuff that costs more than my wife thinks.
It's fine. Typical Suburbia. DT Chandler got a nice overhaul over the last 5 or so years, so plenty of people in and around the overflow areas.

For my money, Alma School/Elliot is good. DT Chandler going north from Chandler to Ray is stop-and-go slow-drive trendy ... bars, restaurants, etc. all busy on any given evening. Elliot is either retail/commercial business (I-10 through 101) getting residential after that then businesses again as it reaches 87 (Arizona Ave), but open/new or rebuilding.

You can assail me if you want for this, but ... Chandler Blvd gets older residential and less business between Dobson out to Arizona Ave and not where I would buy. Take aim if you want ...

Making my truck less of an electrical fire hazard
I totally could if you need a fuse mount plate and have space in that same spot, available space there varies a lot between trucks tho

We're in that rough area, it's fine. We're deep enough in from the main roads to have a pretty serious lack of noise. Until the high school PA fires up for whatever sport is currently in season. No HOA which is nice. There are some turds in the neighborhood that don't take care of their property. But the average homeowner seems classy enough.

there’s a house for sale on the south west corner of that cross street in
Eyeing. Looks decent enough, smaller, but this market is crazy and I expect it to
Get worse…. Not south Scottsdale how I’d prefer but it’s still central to the metro

near fibber mcgees. I’ve been to that bar once. Not bad

My nephew got married last year ... I had not met her before because I have been in AZ since January 2021 and they were back east. I asked if he thought it proper to buy her a NOCO GB40 to keep her safer. He said he greatly appreciated the gesture and the thought. It will arrive at a HomeDepot near their house in a couple of days.

As an aside I also offered to buy him one if they had a second car, but they only have one vehicle.

yeah I liked where I was at. Scottsdale and McDowell. Everything was close by and I had a 4 minute commute to work.

the cost of the 85257 zip code is insane at this point.

a dump in north Tempe above the 202 is way more expensive than a nice cozy turn key home 10 miles south.
