    Right

Man, I ordered new parts kind of late for the 2UZ. Stuff that is considered one-time use so I hope they get here real soon from specific o-rings (which I have on-hand anyway) as well as coolant bypass gaskets and more.

I'm surprised it's taken this long to get your parts.

Naw I just ordered them an hour ago.

I talked to Craig earlier asking him if he had any unexpected hang ups when replacing his starter, and that's when it hit me to get some replacement parts as they're a one-time use only.

So, totally my fault for not ordering sooner.

OEM-reman starter is on the table in the garage waiting to go in. GX is still fully assembled.

Got bit by a dog at work last week. Just a little schnauzer a coworker brought into work that "doesn't like hispanic people" (the owner said this to me). I'm italian but that's beside the point. If you know your dog bites people don't bring it to work. I reported it to his supervisor and the owner got all upset about it and said I was lying. The bite didn't break skin through my pants but I refuse to be bitten by a dog of ANY size. You don't get a pass just because your dog is small.

Fast forward to today on my post-work run and a larger terrier looking dog darted out from a yard. It immediately started going in for the classic ankle bite and I kicked it. The owner and I got into a dispute and he started getting aggressive towards me asking me to leave. I felt empowered by his neighbors next door standing on their lawn and pushed back. I firmly stated that I didn't ask for his dog to sprint after me and attempt to bite my ankle. And that this was the second or third time his dog had chased me. He seemed to simmer down a bit. I tried to empathize with him but really just wanted him to stop coming at me like I initiated the dispute.

And maybe I'm overreacting but I've been running for ~20 years on public streets and 99% of dog owners I've encountered try and hold ME responsible for THEIR actions. I will close with a positive, I had a wonderful interaction on a trail a few weeks ago. I don't condone off leash walking (on public land) but I came across a guy with three large dogs after sunset. When the owner saw my headlamp he yelled out a command and all three dogs immediately ran back to him and sat at his feet so he could get their leashes on, very impressive. He greeted me when I passed and apologized, stating he'd never seen someone out that late on foot. Which is fair, I'd never seen anyone on that trail on foot after dark either.

Your stories about running always make me glad I live in the Pacific Northwest. The vibe is just totally different, whether it be dog ownership or just casual interaction with people.

I like some aspects of Texas at times but in no way do I want to stay here. 2024 was the worst year of my life for shitty interactions while just trying to mind my own business. And 99% of those interactions occurred in Texas. Yet this was the most I've traveled outside of Texas in one year. Japan, Germany, Austria, Spain, work conference to Vegas, multi-state road trip out west this summer, and multiple different state/national park camping trips throughout the year.

I have a million thoughts on this but the goal is to just move somewhere that's friendlier before I'm 30.

Use to make a breakfast pizza when i worked at an Italian restaurant. Was just cheese, roasted potato slices, pancetta, then cracked a few eggs on top when it was half way done cooking. That was good

Got a cv boot kit here In front of me. Do any of you have opinions on which grease goes on which end? I’m real suspicious of putting that brown watery shit in either end compared to that sweet sweet black stuff.
Couldn’t get a straight answer out of any dealer I’ve spoken to.

I know they're significantly less-good than modern battery-powered lights for most uses, but sometimes I miss the Coleman propane lanterns we used when I was a kid.
