What do I have??

I just bought a 2019 TRD OR. I've been longing for one for a while and have a friend who is a salesman at a large dealership in town.

Not versed in all things Tacoma so I'm here to ask some questions. This vehicle has Fox shocks front and back, TRD 17" wheels, and honeycomb grill. I thought those were reserved for the Pro version. It has the standard thin sheet metal skid plate and looks like an aftermarket steel bumper. It has none of the fancier electronics.

Is this just a OR with upgrades?

 

If it has a locker, then yes...just an OR with upgrades. If no locker, then SR5 or Sport with upgrades.

Thank you. It does have the rear diff lock.

 

I’m pretty sure if you enter the VIN it will tell you exactly what model it is.

If those are black flares and you have a locker, it's an OR.

 

Welcome to the forum, doesn’t look like an off road because of no black fender flares, can you show us a picture of the overhead panel above the rear view mirror?

 

I like the bumper, not overpowering and they did a nice job cutting it in.

 

Why don’t you ask your friend at the dealer?

In any case, that is definitely a modified taco of some sort. It’s too bad someone apparently swiped the winch.

 

the second picture shows a color matched fender, but the last picture shows a black fender on the passenger side?

 

There’s no reason to guess at what trim it started life as, unless people just like playing guessing games. The VIN will tell him that (or his friend at the dealer).

 

I think the second pic is black too, just weird lighting.

 

My friend doesn't work at a Toyota dealership but this one showed up on one of the lots. He wouldn't know what was aftermarket or not either.

I did look up the VIN and it said it was an SR5 but I wasn't sure if they are all from the SR5 platform then upgraded to the different trim levels.

 

Its an off road

 

Any Toyota dealership can print a build sheet for you according to your VIN, also dealer service history.

 

Clearly she’s an off road.

 

locking dif, unpainted flares, overhead crawl control, trd offroad bed stickers. The only SR5 that came with a locking dif was the trail edition and it did not have crawl control on the overhead.
