LS Collectibles went out of business a few years back but apparently they’ve semi-returned to production?

This is a re-release of a 250 run car. The original car and the pre-order photos showed a lovely grey interior.

It arrived in bordello red. The other available colors (red, maroon, white, black) make sense with red, but light blue?

Still a rad car.

 

Never understood that ugly red interior on the A60 and A70's Makes a really great looking car kinda odd...

 

because 80s thats why!

I don’t understand bordello red on a blue car, that wasn’t a color combo Toyota did. The other colors, sure, it was common, but blue?

Blue should be a blue interior if they were doing any color, not red. The general shape of the car and the oh so Toyota light blue they used on every model makes perfect sense.

 

Hell yeah dawgy! I’ve found maybe 6-7 of them so far and gave away all but 1

Funny thing about that first one is that it’s no longer a gasser but it says gasser down the sides. It never made it to a repaint.

Gasser is a term used to cover most pre 1967 steel bodied cars in drag racing that ran in the 1960s. Straight axle front ends are what you see most of the time, but it applies pretty much to anything that used to be raced back then that was altered with blowers, injectors stacks, pie crust slicks radiused wheel wells etc. I see a lot of 55 Chevys like that running C/Gas today. The idea of straight axles was to help transfer weight to the back tires. Engines were set back as well. Yours is still a Gasser nose up or down.
