In the next 72 hours I’m supposed to have a job offer letter in my inbox. Didn’t think I’d ever move back there. Camelback and 24th is where the office is.

Maybe this time around while in Phoenix I’ll get around to doing back way to crown king

Yep yep. Edited lol. Did 3 years of HS down in awhatukee and spent a shitload of time on south mountain riding mountain bikes.

not quite sure where me and a friend will be splitting rent at. Even Phoenix is expensive enough I don’t think it’s smart money wise to rent my own place there when I have someone I’d gladly split a house with.

And buying is 4-5 years off of happening without cutting $$$ way too tight. Gotta get a few years into my real career first anyway

 

East valley isn't too bad
Chandler/Mesa/Gilbert 3/2 rental houses with garages are around 2100 or so
Can wait around and get lucky at or slightly below 2k, or sign any day of the week at 2200+
Or buy that same house and pay 3500 for the mortgage

Definitely cheaper to split that rent than pay the 1500+ every single leasing company in the metro have colluded to charge for a tiny 1 bed apartment (https://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/p...-prices-in-phoenix-and-tucson-arizona-ag-says)

If I buy that house out in gold canyon, I’d consider renting the entire house for like 1500.

 

At least 1 garage space is needed. I'm going to be stupid and get a second car for fun since I've grinded my way through college and set myself to afford something for 15-20k without blinking, and stay on pace investing. Living alone you just lose so much value per dollar in what you can rent. Buying a house is more of needing to settle into a career or make sure my backup job I may do on weekends with my buddy, could cover mortgage payments. I could get a 20% down payment together by January of 26, but salary in early career will still be lower than comfortable then. Pondering the idea of an LLC and he and I go in on a house together but unlikely.

Clown it all you want but I like it. Not looking forward to the big city chaos again. I fell in love with reno and how small it is. Tukee being secluded and quiet was really really nice...

 

I would have loved a AH WAH TOOKY house if they weren’t all HOAs. Trail access is under rated

 

Depends on the person for sure. I'd be on south mountain 4 times a week in good weather and at least 2x a week in summers once the sun was down

Also in the time I was gone, RIP coyotes.
I got one of these on a massive sale here in Reno since I work at the property evil man Meruelo owns lol. I'd still rep my Dallas Stars if they were in town though. Looking forward to the chance to see the Seahawks when they come into town every year though

Camelback and 24th? Your route to/from work will be route-143/route-51 if you live in Chandler/Tempe/Ahwatukee. I-10 curve has been under construction/widening for too long, still projected into 2025 before done ... they even have a web-service-app thing telling people which lanes/directions are closed (yes, they do close one entire direction of I-10 on some weekends).

I suggest living in Tempe/west-Chandler to avoid the mess of the I-10/51/143 space. But ... there are 3 new (one completed just 1.5 years ago) interstate-class roads here. 202 (east west, one leg north and one south, connecting I-10 near downtown and AJ), 101 (Chandler, north to Snobsdale, west then south again to I-10), 303 (Carefree/CaveCreek west then south to I-10). @World2405 wants to buy a house in Snobsdale ...

For $2300 (splitting that rent gets you a nice house) for a house in the "L" around South Mountain Park, and then you can play yobbo in South Mountain Park on your mountain bike.

I wanna buy a house in the valley that isn’t going to be over priced or get broken into. South snobbsdale is just what I’m familiar with because I lived there when you could actually afford a home there for under 300k.

hell I’d drink water from Tempe town lake to get one of those at that price again…

so nah I’m gona inverse that and probably move to far east Mesa. Or idk… somewhere else
