So I reconnected with a friend from high school this weekend. He told me he was offered a job guiding hunt in Kentucky. Went down there to see what it was all about. It was a high fence where they kept the deer in an enclosed pasture. So they were basically tame. Someone would get online and choose the deer they wanted to kill and they would release it into an area so it could be hunted.

This is America and if you're an entrepreneur you'll find a way to make a buck or two right.

The timber companies my wife and I worked for routinely sold land for high fence “ranchetts”. I might have been intrigued with seeing a 1000” or heck even a 250” whitetail. Nope, invariably they were stocked with sika. Funniest property I’ve ever seen had a 12’ fence for a herd of blackbuck that might have been 18” at the shoulder… I don’t understand any of it.
