    Title says it all,

Has anyone found any good solution to auto dimming the side mirrors. I know there are tints out there...

I was thinking of replacing the mirror lenses or doing a complete mirror assembly swap.

Headlights are getting way too bright these days and when I'm driving back from the trail tired after days of backpacking I get bad eye strain from all the brodozers. Some times I just slap the driver side in to avoid it...

    Thanks

Eh, I did some quick Google research.
Apparently you need an auto dimming rear view mirror, that's what triggers the side view mirrors.
This seems like a bigger pain than it's worth.
I guess a tint might help...

There probably isn't just because there really is no demand for it.

Not quite the same thing, but the 3rd Gen 4Runner mirrors bolt up and have heating elements. I also retrofitted a Gentex auto dimming rear view mirror in my truck.

This. The OEM rearview mirror technically is "dimming" you just flip the tab which messes with the alignment. MUTHco also makes replacement side mirror glass with an LED turn signal behind the reflective part if you want to get all fancy - it has the heating element too and you can pair it with the H-Mod.
