It's not just RAM, it's any of the American brands owned by Stellantis. I know Jeeps could be gone soon. The reliability has been worse than usual, yet the price keeps going up as they focus on luxury, forgetting who the target buyer was.

Nothing says desperation like $6,500 off MSRP from the manufacturer.

I recently watched a clip of the Stellantis CEO describing their vehicles as a "premium" brand that justify "premium" pricing. I thought to my self, how is a CEO that clueless?

I've been seeing reports that Toyota sales are down globally. How and why the tundras is doing its all time best is puzzling to me. I don't think it's a terrible truck, I wouldn't say it has the best reputation at the moment. Which I think would impact sales, so who is buying more Tundras now than before 2022?

I wonder if it's a matter of timing... With Ford and GM in a hot race to set all-time records for recall screw-ups, and RAM on the verge of completely collapsing... And the Titan being killed...

The previous Tundra was a decade behind the competition in terms of features and technology, so a lot of people didn't even have it under consideration when shopping for a full-size truck. Those people would however consider the freshly redesigned Tundra.

Certainly could be the competition the domestics don't have much going for them. I don't see a ton of 24 F-150s on the road, been seeing some of the usual suspects in fleet 24s. New GMs are scarce did see a Silverado Bison today. Might have seen three 25 Ram Tradesmens. Not that it's any idicator of what's selling.

I thought about buying 21 Tundra ended up in a 21 F-150, I still wouldn't mind having one. Really didn't like the 22 Tundra, warmed up to it but the recall issues really put a dent in that. Fuel line has been adressed, engine has been adressed per Toyota and most probably won't have an issue to begin with. I did get another Ford since then and again it came down to price, but I would still consider the redesign Tundra so that makes sense.

I'm not sure why I thought Renault was part of that group.

Maybe I'm just getting old, but that's probably a reason I would choose the last gen Tundra over the competition. My 19 4Runner is the same way. Old fashion keyed ignition, analog climate controls, infotainment system that's not vital to other vehicle operations and I don't have driver nannies dinging at me while driving.

Sales numbers indicate your views are not mainstream. I suspect for the same reason the 6th gen 4Runner will be more popular - people who previously disregarded the 21 year-old platform will now view it as an option after the redesign.

Had a friend park a small trailer backed right up to the fire so he could sit on the back of it at a reasonable distance from the fire. Later he went to bed and everyone else drank and the bonfire grew. He woke up to puddles of plastic and no tail lights.
