    The 1ST part of the house was started in 1880 and was built on a hill side so about 1/2 of it is of wood and stone basement parts put together
    Over the years . The wind finds all kinds of ways into the basement we have had frozen water lines 3 in the 12 years we have been here but after setting up the heaters and waiting …… seems a water main broke in town

    One of the benefits I've found from having a 95-year-old masonry-built home is that all of the water lines are inside the house. As long as the boiler is boiling, they will not freeze.

    Good morning. Gotta love livin' that "Salt Life" here in the northeast. Started my truck up a couple nights ago and it was pretty loud, figured it was an exhaust gaskets, looked the next morning to see this...

    Got a call from Jim Shorkey Toyota on McKnight Rd. the same day saying they have free wiper blades for my 2019 Rav4 Adventure so I figured "two birds, one stone", I'll go out and pick up the wiper blades and get new exhaust gaskets while I'm there. Got home and rummaged thru my extensive hardware stockpile and found the correct size stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers needed. Guess what I'm doing today. LOL
