On the contrary, I'm leaving it stock cause I'm more interested in placing money into savings and buying other tools

    DEFINITELY not what you're thinking

I still keep an eye out for milling machines, not CNC one's just nearby for a small setup that'll run on 220/110.

I want to try my hand at machining and keeping an eye out for a deal with tooling. Tooling is expensive as fuck I've noticed.

Actually I tend to agree. Those trucks are best if the PSD is thrown in the trash. There's some pretty awesome Cummins direct bolt in swap kits for them now because that generation of power stroke was so bad

    But it's a GX :boink:

The 80 series was significantly better for wheeling right out of the box even.

Real talk, a solid axle PU would be my choice if I wanted a toy to wheel with.

And I say it half-jokingly but half-honestly as well.

You know how it came to us, but I had a genuine conversation with the wife about it and we both agreed it doesn't make sense to keep.

She's happier now (more like relieved) with a new car. She thinks it's cool I have a new project in the garage to keep me entertained. But the F250 doesn't make sense for either of us and it's a damn shame really considering how damn minty it is.

Somebody will want it, if nothing else it's a nice body and frame and presumably transmission. I'm going to guess that's beyond the years that are emissions exempt in California though

Oh god, the entire cab, frame, and yeah the transmission too are all minty.

The engine I'm really going to say doesn't have issues. Only code it popped per my FIL's old text to my MIL is that it had a CEL for the EGR. But the truck sat at my MIL for too many months letting both batteries completely die beyond bringing them back (I tried for over 48 hours on two chargers).

But yes it's too new to bypass the emissions laws out here.

My Internet tests well but idk, sometimes its a bit sluggish.

Currently I can tell I'm getting bad frame rate drop, CPU at 83% and GPU at 54% oddly. But I am in the weather. I'm only at 1080p since my monitor is the limiting factor. I mean, I think it's running better there is more overhead but certainly more room for growth in this setup. Can't wait for my yoke to come in, the pedals have been a game changer already.

Being at 1080P, your GPU usage is low because the resolution isn't pushing it much at all

If you move up to 1440P (2K), your GPU usage should max out, your CPU usage would drop, and you'll really be testing the limits of your graphics card

What kinda yoke did you get? There's a ton of badass stuff for commercial flight simulators (but pricey)

I think they sold a bunch of Wranglers to rental car agencies. My son will be driving a rented Wrangler for the six months that he will be in CA. There are so many used Wranglers for sale around here.
Somehow, I think the fad has ended.

I went with the turtle Beach velocity. The rudder pedals came in already and I've been using them with my Saitek X52, which I've had since Flight Sim X. The rudder pedals seemed excessive but I bought them anyways, but it is soooo nice being able to disconnect the rudder movements from my hands. Being able to hold a yaw while flying and navigating airport grounds is easier. Did an engine out landing in a twin engine and it was easy to just apply rudder with my foot and hold it.

The other cool thing is the braking, used to be a button on the stick so it was all or nothing, but now I can apply brakes progressively and do differential braking, braking one wheel at a time for sharper turns. Dumb little things that make it more fun I guess. Combined with the Tobii Eyetracker and it's really made the game more immersive. Now if the game didn't have some weird bugs in it it would be perfect.
