Good to hear about the rain performance, anyone tried them in snow yet?

Curious about this as well. Thinking of putting these on my 2024 Tundra (275/60-20's). We get a lot of rain where I live and i go over the mountain passes enough that I want something that does pretty well in both situations.

They are a lot cheaper than AT3's, Baja Boss AT's, AT4W's, etc and Discount beat the current Walmart price. Plus, Cooper has $100 back until end of this month.

I put these on at the beginning of November. 255/75R17 (32s). Promptly drove across the US for a hunting trip, then back. Snow in Albuquerque, and rain the rest of the way out. Rain in NY on 13 miles of rough logging roads. Tires were great. Dry highways on the way back. Quiet and comfortable. Glad I went with these tires.

Mostly stock, just getting it to my liking, just happy to have had the taco and now my 4Runner.
Price match through Discount tire, under $800 out the door after rebates and discounts if my memory math is correct on my 4Runner. Sorry, forgot I added the discount tire certificates, so $900 out the door for everything in the end.

Getting the 4th tire installed as I type as one had a manufacturing defect during original install and I had them order a replacement.

So far a couple hundred miles mixed dry and rainy, cold and mild temps, very quiet compared to the limited 20s they replaced. And saved some lbs switching to them.

20 in Firestone destination le3 are 36lbs each, 17 in cooper road and trail a/t are 41 lbs each, limited 20 inch rims are 40lbs each, orp 17 inch rims are 25lbs each, so provided I didn’t fat finger the math the differences come down to 304lbs for 4 20s and 264 for 4 17s, using discount tire for the tire weight and trail4runnerdotcom for the rim weights. Give or take a few ounces for tpms and tread wear lol. So well worth it and can already be felt in the butt dyno when driving.

As I was locked into Goodyear family with warranty claim on my original wranglers that were shot at 17k miles, I went with the 265/75R-16 Cooper Discoverer Road+Trail AT SL.

Looks good, seems similar it more cushioning than the original wranglers. The fresh tread is a bit louder, hearing the tread hum, but that's fixed with my stereo. .

After warranty claim refund, and $100 rebate, & 3% cb site, cost me about $200. Couldn't figure out how to post a picture...

Anyone have balancing issue with these? Getting vibes on the highway after two ‘road force’ balances. They put a bunch of weights in my rims.

unsure if I should bring to another shop or just the way these are. Haven’t had AT tires before

I'll have to bring it somewhere else. 4 different tire pressures out the door should have been a sign

I had the Cooper AT3s before putting these on a few weeks ago. I've put around 500 miles on them so far, mostly highway, but I have to say, they've been way smoother and quieter than the AT3s ever were and I didn't think they were bad to begin with. I haven't done any off-roading with them, but I was able to pull this old 56 Ford out after sitting for 25 years with a 2wd 4-cylinder!

Oh there will be some mods all right
I will be running these on my 2020 4Runner as of 12-11-24. I will post up my initial impressions in here as well as updates later on. At this point if anybody else is running them I would love to hear how they are doing. I was going to post in a different thread about these tires but this one seems to be more active and also has more 4runners lol.

    @LarryDangerfield

So far, excellent, been a very positive improvement in all aspects, and for an A/T I was expecting more road noise but it has been minimal if any. The improved ride quality has been worth it.

Good to hear! This will be my first time pretty much ever going through winter with an all season instead of a dedicated winter tire so I'm a little hesitant but the full-time four-wheel drive of my 4runner has done pretty well with some very cheap highway tires so I have hesitant confidence towards thinking an all season will do the trick.

From personal experience a good set of dedicated snow/ice winter tires will serve you well in winter, but if you are on a budget or have to make a concession a good set of A/t like these that are triple peak rated while not a replacement will at least give you a confidence that an all season street tire would not. Are these just as good as the winter tire, no, but they weren’t meant to be. But combined with the awd of our limited systems it is an excellent system that should be able to get you there safely by all accounts. Plus the ride is greatly improved in my opinion getting off the 20s. Ymmv.

Checking in for a quick update - I had these installed on my 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro in late September and have logged a couple thousand miles. I have not had a chance to do much off-roading, but on-road and in rain, they have been great tires. Immediately noticed an improvement on pavement (less road noise and smoother ride) - even my wife noticed and commented on it. Compared to my worn down Goodyear Ultraterrains, these have been night and day an improvement so far. Highly recommend.

Went up to northern Maine last week and put about 100 miles on snow packed forest roads. Tires performed great! Ran at normal PSI, 32.

I've never run a dedicated winter tire in my 40+ years of legal driving here in Maine. A good snow rated A/T tired and some common sense has worked just fine.

I'm guessing Maine and northern Wisconsin have similar winters.

I just had these put on my '21 offroad. Stock wheels but went up to 265/75R16. They look amazing. This is the perfect size and the tire looks aggressive but isn't ridiculous. They're quiet and comfortable so far. I'll post a couple pics as soon as it stops raining.

3 of 4 tires where out of balance. Truck drives much better now on the highway!

Are you on stock OR suspension? I am looking at these and was wanting to get a slightly large tire than stock
