Depends on which Weller product. If your talking about Special Reserve vs Buffalo Trace, the BT wins every time. I think BT is a significantly better product to SR.

What about Weller Full Proof? That’s the only Weller I can consistently find near me.

I've not tried the FP, someone else will have to chime in for that one. Around here when you can find it FP is a $200 bottle vs BT is $35.

Damn, where abouts are you located? That's likely the MSRP for FP, but in my area I've never seen a Weller product sold for MSRP.

Pick up lots of the Weller FP and I bet you’ll have several takers here! (Me included).

Regular Buffalo Trace compared to Weller FP isn’t really an equal comparison. As stated above, it’s more similar to the regular special reserve and I also prefer BT except in the summer. Then Weller SR on ice is my go to. Both can be found around here for $35ish, but Weller FP is rarely available and is probably going to be marked up to $200 or more. I think BT is likely the better daily drinker due to the lower proof, but if I regularly found Weller FP at that price I’d be having it much more often

Today’s pick ups. The EW was 50% off, so for $10.99, I could say no. The Yamazaki is my first Japanese whisky. Cheers.

This was in an email this evening from Del Mesa Liquor. These are normal prices in my area.

I saw the prices on their website so I drove there today and the guy working said they sold all the Weller within 2 hours of putting it on the shelf. Ended up just getting a buffalo trace for $28. Asked if he knew when they were getting more in and he said that they never know.

and typical after I drive a hour round trip they update their website
