As have I. My most shameful one was trying to get a repair tech out to fix my internet. I knew it was an issue on the pole, but I stayed very polite and friendly, I jumped through their hour-long troubleshooting flow chart that I had already done myself ten times before, and made sure to say thank you when the they finally agreed to schedule a tech. I hung up the phone and said "Fuck, what a fucking moron that was!" ..And then I looked down and realized that I had not hit the hang-up button like I thought I did. :homer::facepalm: Service appointment was mysteriously cancelled.

And thats why I switched to AT&T. :anonymous:

I've seen bad emails accidentally get sent to the entire company. The ensuing reply storm was epic.

I've mentioned once or twice, but my favorite is whenever HR emailed to the grouplist [North America], which happened to have over 10,000 email addresses. Someone always replies-all with a "thanks," which is hilarious in its own right. But one time, a mental giant replied-all with an unrelated question about his paycheck... And he attached a PDF of his pay stub. All of North America now knows what Jonathan X of Syracuse New York makes. I still remember. After court mandated child support deductions, Johnathan took home $1014 dollars a month. That was a fun water cooler day.

Long ago someone in one building of my company sent all 4000 of us an email about someone stealing his food from the refridgerator. I wonder what the CEO thought when he opened that one?

I almost spit out my drink laughing..

During the flip phone days I worked with a guy who would take creeper shots of the office girls when they would bend over or try to walk up behind them.

For whatever reason he would keep the pictures on his work computer and then email them to himself.

One day he replied to all on a safety email and got himself fired and got the rest of us HR meetings for months.

Sedgwick has not called or returned my emails. Toyota Brand Engagement person seriously went above and beyond and confirmed the phone # I've been given for the claims person is a non-working # and we put in a request for a return call from that departments supervisor. Was set up for Thursday at 11 ..... thank god I didn't hold my breath because they never called back either. I emailed Toyota from the initial claim thread and "voiced my concerns" and just tonight they responded that Sedgwick will be calling me on Monday before lunch time to give me a surrender date. That's today's status.

Not what you want to do when you're trying to get $40-$50k back....
Im no mother Theresa, but this isn't the situation where you want to piss-off the people making all the calls....
Regardless they make a decision on the written law but the claims rep in charge of every aspect, could put the OP's case back on the bottom of the pile & drag their feet even more...
Need to keep things professional, but can express your frustration, just dont be a douche about it....

I respectfully disagree...they've put him off, now they wont answer calls or emails...I'm telling them I want to speak the the fucker in charge. Maybe not the best idea, but waiting obviously isnt working out so great.

One thing is for sure, trying to get anything done this time of year is a problem. Everyone taking vacation grinds things to a halt until after new years.

Trying to get anything done since 2019 is a joke.
We had water damage to our floors, it took 9 months to get them fixed, and my house isnt big.
My wife had minor damage done to her car,15 weeks for that.
'Waiting on parts' is the new 'I really dont feel like messing with it' excuse.

You have no idea how overwhelmed all the manufactuers are doing all these buy-backs are, they're not intentionally putting them off...
The "person in charge" is his claims rep, there is no higher-up that can speed-ball the process...
Anyone can make an error, here or there which would cause a minor delay...

My claims rep when I went through the process, explained to me that there's only 2 of us doing the lemon law buyback claims Nation wide, so were overwhelmed & there's delays....
Then there's other processes, different dept's that the process goes through,
Im not going to pretend to know but gathering tittle info, finance, reg, pay-offs, modifications, what bank they need to pay-off, etc...
Then the final determination / deal goes to multiple other dept's for approval along with the Toyota attorneys for approval, dotting their eyes & crossing their T's....
Everyone is under staffed & overworked in the real world.....
Toyotas attorneys are not just dealing with solely Toyota as whole & toyota only & not just lemon law cases, they're dealing with all sorts of legal matters on the constant on multiple levels....
corporate issues, employee issues, harassment, real lawsuits, extensive court cases involving denied warranty repair claims, accident lawsuits, etc....
    They're back logged too....
Its not drop everything cuz mr jones dropped an f-bomb & is going to blab his poor experience of the product allover the internet & we can't have that...
So we better take care of him now so he's happy!

Crawling out from under your rock, pounding on your chest & dropping a couple of F bombs & asking to "speak to their manager" cuz you think youre special & entitled cuz you spent a lot of money & you're in the unfortunate situation, will get you no where........

Ive said it before, my buddy & I filed at the same time, him with dodge.....
He used a great lemon law attorney "Quill & Arrow"
My claim was filed within a week or two going direct to arbitration with Toyota....

My buddies case with the bulldog attorneys took 3+ months for them to file with dodge, cuz even the attorneys are overloaded with cases & your just thrown into a stack........

You're not dealing with I didn't get my Amazon package so im going to curse-out the amazon customer service rep from India to make myself feel better here....
But respectfully, you can disagree all you want....
Some folks are rational & have common sense, while others dont....

Thats fine and all, but an 'I'm working on it' or a 'I haven't forgotten you' can sometimes mean alot. People suck. They know they suck. We're expected to expect them to suck. I dont care for it.

Six weeks of fcuk-all getting done. That said, be nice to the people on the phone. They just want to put in a day’s work, get paid, and go home. Like most of us. They don’t need to hear your foul-mouthed rant, and there’s probably nothing they can do anyway. Last, they probably didn’t choose the job they have, they took what they could get. Having a little compassion for others doesn’t cost a dime.

There’s a saying: catch more flies with honey than vinegar. So many times I’ve gotten a faster resolution by being nice, using decent manners, and commiserating with the other person about how thankless their job must be. Maybe try it?
