What do you recommend @AllTacosFloat for painting the sliders?

I de-greased mine first.

2 coats of self-etching primer.
3 coats of semi-gloss Rustoleum.
3M non-skid strips when finished.

 

Self etching primer then that paint. Make sure to clean the steel very well.
That paint lays down nice and is easy to touch up. I use some I brush on for touch ups cause I’m lazy.

Don’t go nuts painting where welds are needed, it’ll burn off or have to be sanded clean for welding.

Happy Birthday @bucktales! Our birthdays are only a couple days apart, neat!

 

The one up in Maine, but yea they fucking party lol. Most of the people that go are from the Portland and Waterville areas. Bring up the quads and SXS's. They normally get going by 9 or 10 and come back around 4 or 5 and make a fire and get hammered. Rinse and repeat lol

 

Riding on the streets to get to the trails in ME and NH is pretty great

Yes it is. House up there is On a dirt road, with one end being off a 26 mile long dirt road that dumps out onto rt16 just south of downtown Rangeley

Misunderstood, I thought you were trying to paint before. I have black dtm for you if you want to roll and brush it on. Less masking and the roller makes a nice texture.

 

The spray paint is good. I'll have some left over if touch ups are needed. Which they will be now that I'll be fully armored, (minus front and rear bumpers).

 

I have extra front and rear bumpers when you’re feeling spicy

 

I’d paint the whole slider but not the legs or the frame plates. I can clean off where I need to on the slider.

 

This is what I was picturing. Storing raw steel sucks.
