Meanwhile, the scumbags that make this process so bad by designing policy at the director level and above get to be shielded from the mess they cause.

You’re right about frontline employees, of course, I just hate that shit never travels uphill far enough

    You have no idea...
Ive been a ford engine mechanic for 32 years, this wasn't my first rodeo & have a down to earth rational way of thinking & thinking things through, making my logical points & have the automotive back ground to back it....
Most of the time, I repeat myself & drag things on in the same discussion...

    My point:
When I was dealing with the LL case manager...
She was no dummy & also had a background / knowledge of cars & when we first started interacting & going through the process she was definitely giving me push back...
Trying to discourage me, attempting to show flaws in my logic in general & technically, attempting to shoot me down with the rational of a positive outcome in my favor....
First few interactions we definetly bumped heads, spoke over one another, etc....
Wasn't until toward the end when things calmed down & I felt she was laying on the sword & no longer full of piss & vinegar...
Its like she flipped a light switch....

Yes, she doesn't have any dealings with pleasant consumers as all her dealings are with shit situations...
I get it, she's dealing with the crapy job she was probably forced into...
She first hand told me, she was the only one dealing with these cases & think she said the 1 other person that does it, wasn't helpful or was out on leave, etc...
    I dont exactly recall....
Getting an attorney like all you guys are screaming, changes NOTHING, still goes through the same exact chain / process....
same people processing the paper work, gathering the data, making the decisions....

Your attorney takes months to process vs you making a 5 minute phone call, but what do I know....

Nothing new, that's the norm now....
Most trades are like this now, good luck even getting a call back for a quote.
California isn't so bad, heard its worse on other states.....
neighbor had a slap leak & flooding my condo due to joining wall, I was without a kitchen for almost a year, 6 months+.....
All car brands when it comes to getting real mechanical work done, transmission or engine repairs done....
They're back logged for months at a time, its not drop everything for mr jones cuz its his only car & doesn't want to pay for a rental....

Im not touting my own horn but here's another story about skills & work ethic these days...
I retired from ford may of 22...
    huge well established ford dealership...
Dealer has gone through almost a dozen techs to replace me, none of they have stuck or been a successful replacement to this day...
That dealer when it comes to engine techs, efficiency, getting the work out in a timely manner & good work is spirally into the toilet...
Only trusted good tech left is my old helper, he's just one guy....
Yes, other stalls are full of employees, but they're garbage in regards to skill, work ethic, knowing what they're doing, etc...
They want instant gratification & not willing to make sacrifices to learn the trade & progress.
Not willing to be a helper / apprentice long enough to hone your skills & truly be good......

I have to admit to reading all your posts with a really slow southern drawl and a slight lisp. The sentences just kinda fade away with some awkward silence at the end before picking back up again as you stare off into the distance…..

You’re talking about a 3rd party company who’s making money on this all. I wouldn’t care if they only have 2 people processing the claims. That sounds like mismanagement of the company. Toyota is paying this company to handle the issue’s and also take care of their customers. I’m sure they’d like to know if you’re not satisfied with how this company, that they are paying good money too, is not doing a good job handling the business they are being paid to do. So I don’t believe their should be any problem calling Toyota to let them know about your experience with dealing with this company.

the claims representative im talking about has a seat in the corporate office at Toyota, I made zero mention of Sedgwick.....
This isn't third party, this is Toyota!!!!
When you call to file buyback, arbitration, lemon law, concerns, not happy, etc, your calling Toyota & filing with Toyota directly, not third party!
    Get it....

Ive been on the phone with her in the past during our discussions & she had to disclose that the clown Toyota FSE who inspected my vehicle just walked into her office & they were going to further discuss his findings & recommendations,,,,

Toyota only 3'rd parties the transfer of the vehicle from the consumer, that's it!
They call & schedule a meeting date & dealer location, inspect the truck, take procession of the truck, hand you a check on the spot.
Toyota actually doesnt pay truck off until weeks later if financed...

    You have tunnel vision...
They're just people, just like you & me...
The issue in this case isn't the person,
Its the work load & the process....
    Doesn't happen overnight.

No different than the op, he's been losing his shit through-out the majority of this process.
Ive had to reel him in a few times, have had multiple phone conversations with him..
I get it, some people get anxiety over not having resolution in the snap of a finger, im one of those types...
    More-so than probably anyone here.
Were they're mistakes made, sure there were..
But im sure they also told him "we haven't forgotten about you", " its in process", "its with the attorneys waiting on approval", "can't give you anymore status updates cuz once its with the last leg, there are no more updates to be given"
you're going to have to be patient, were a little back logged....

They don't drag their feet when you pay them do they -
That money goes right into their account at light speed...

Still, in the spirit of the holiday:
Here's wishing you all good tidings of corruption and greed...

I was buying some things to repair Christmas decorations at Lowe's today. They had signs on every register that asked to please not abuse the cashiers. Each sign has a full paragraph that explained how the people who work here are humans with feelings and stuff, and would appreciate if you didn't torment them like you would an exhibit at the zoo.

It took me three nanoseconds from thinking what a ludicrous sign that was, to realizing that such a sign is 100% needed. Because why be kind when you can be an asshole seems to be the groupthink these days.

It’s needed because the managers of the business make anti-consumer policy decisions that lead to endless frustration among customers who are often fairly captive since big box retailers destroyed the small hardware store

Again,... the sign should have said:

Nor should hospitals have to have signs about similar subjects, for another example..

but the tide pods warning labels, totally warranted...nobody should be expected to carry around that much common sense in their heads these days.

In that case it's covering their ass from lawsuits, but agreed.

My daughter is a University Professor.
    She's visiting and submitting final grades - ... -
She showed us an Email she got today, mind you classes are over finals are done....
Student said: " I know classes are over and I missed more days than I should have, but I wondered if I can make up the missed days? "

    Is it me ?

On one hand, you rarely get what you don't ask for. On the other, you shouldn't ask for stupid shit. I guess I'm a little torn here.
