Hopefully you give it a refreshed life. All I was doing for the past few years was hauling a lawn cart around the yard with it. I was planning on all fluids except coolant (did that), brakes, adjust valves, check and/or replace the CVT belt, shocks, basically do everything that I didn't know the status of. I really wanted to just order new wheels and tires because the ones on it are a bit larger than stock and more aggressive than I wanted on my lawn. Always thought it would handle much better with the stock tire size.

I will use this method also once I clean the set I got from @AllTacosFloat . Still need to find mounting hardware.

My uncle has had multiple 750 Brute Force's over the years (a 2005, a 2007, a 2011 and a 2014(?)). They were all great machines, but having EFI added on the 2011 and then EPS added on the 2014 were huge milestones! I said the same thing as you about power steering, but as soon as I rode his 2014 with EPS, there was no going back! It was like when I first rode his 2005, I was only riding a Yamaha Raptor 80, and trying out that Brute Force (pun intended), there was no going back to a small machine.

The only gripe I had with his machines is the front diff "lock", it being cable operated is not the best design (I think Yamaha has the best 4WD selector).

Yeah EFI felt like a huge jump and then EPS was loooong overdue, was basically the last big-bore quad to get it. There really haven't been any changes other than bodywork since then either. Don't care-- still love 'em.

Agreed on the diff lock. It still sucks. Multiple times I had the lever slip out of my hand which in turn would unlock the front end before I could grab it to re-engage the locker. & you're right, Yamaha's setup with the button and flip-to-the-side switch is the best. I've tried them all. Nothing comes close.

X2 interested for house stuff if cheap enough. I looked at the Flir ph9ne hookup ones since I use to make parts for their "special" thermal and regular image cameras

Yup, I completely agree with you, I still think they are great machines! I just saw that Kawaskai released new body work for the 750, it looks nice (they finally put a headlight on the handle bars!).

Nice Topdon makes some good car diagnostic scan tools.

I have been eye balling this one which appears to be on sale

    Yup, that's the one.

I went back and forth between that exact Flir and the Topdon. I wanted the Flir for the MSX overlay, but read a lot of reviews saying that was buggy and didn't align properly so I'm not sure how much value that adds if that's the case. Plus the Topdon had significantly higher IR resolution at a similar price point. Both had overall good feedback, though, and it's tough to go wrong for their prices.

I've started to look at that - The exterior edges of the ceilings are cold pretty much all around the house, the few remaining older windows lose a ton of heat, and my exterior doors definitely don't seal well. The doors are on the list - just that what I want is expensive. The dining room windows will probably stay put for years, because eventually I want to do a deck and then it'd need to be a sliding glass door rather than windows.

Range day today. We ran some shotgun and transition drills. Just for fun I grabbed this one.

    20241215_115424.jpg 20241215_115432.jpg 20241215_115442.jpg 20241215_115519.jpg

This one was seized in a bust, demilled, sold for scrap, and then I got my hands on it and rebuilt it with a cheap stripped receiver. Check out the custom Hi Viz sights and silicone recoil pad. Very classy. Not sure I would be willing to get this one dirty in the field.
