This is standard for new vehicles coming out .insurance companies don’t have data on new vehicles yet so they are taking a risk at covering them . The new Tacoma has a lot of tech so costs are expected to be high .best to shop around and get new quotes to get the best rate possible .

How on earth? $684 for the whole year? Anytime I’ve received quotes I’ve found Indiana Farm Bureau to be outrageously expensive.

Your whole year costs just over what 6 months costs for my wife’s 23 RAV4.

Holy cow. I'm paying $174 a month for home and auto. My auto was through the roof when I lived in Florida, but I was renting at the time.

The RAV4 is pretty loaded with all the safety features.

Insurance costs have been the biggest lie I’ve been told my entire life. “Oh it’ll go down once you turn 26, it’ll go down when you get married”. It’s only gone up since. No accidents, no tickets, no claims. My 4Runner has increased drastically, we chose to drop collision from the 2013 Sonic we have since it was more to insure than my 4Runner. It’s ridiculous.

For folk commenting on wanting glass, it isn't worth it. It you use it, it's considered a claim. I know several who didn't know that, then found their premium skyrocketed after 2 windshield replacements. See if they will quote without glass, increase the deductible to $1000. I can say I'm paying less and having $1M coverages on a 911, E class and RR.

    My agent told
Me years ago to shop especially on auto, every five years. It is a cycle people
Have claims insurance goes up they find someone cheaper to go with then all of a sudden they go up. I like having an agent rather than the .coms.

With how much my insurance has jumped the past few years I’ve been looking once a year through multiple agents and companies. No one has been cheaper than what I have now. I’ve got quite the bundle too between a boat, three cars, a house, detached garage, and jewelry. I’ve got all discounts I can have applied except for the tracking, not gonna go for that.

What limits of liability are you carrying? "Full coverage" is not a thing. It's a made-up, meaningless term that has duped consumers for years.

All properties are covered. On medical coverage 1,3 1 million. I have a loan and the bank says I cannot have liability only.

I went from a RAV4 Prime to a Tacoma Sport and my rate dropped by almost $200 per year. It’s all relative to what repairs cost.
