I've got camburg spindles, total chaos UCA's, and my camber/caster lobes are adjusted all the way inward. I've lived with it for quite awhile because it doesn't seem to hurt anything. The specs are currently 4.5 caster and like 0.2 cambered in. It looks cool having a little inward camber and I've never heard of a little extra caster being an issue either, but it's screwing with my o.c.d that I have no adjustment left. Also the fact that my tires will start wearing a little uneven. Why would this be? Is it because the UCA have alignment correction in them and I'm running no preload (no coil lift)? Or are the spindles designed to add inward camber? I'd like to get the adjustments back close to neutral.

Just something I've been thinking about

.2 camber shouldn't really cause any noticeable tire wear. I'm at .8 and I haven't noticed any premature wear.

How is your toe? out of spec Toe causes pre-mature tire wear more than camber does.

4.5* of caster? wow, that's a lot. I'm at 1.9 on both sides (stock UCA's)

My toe is dead nuts. I align it after every outing just about. I think my caster correcting uca's are whats causing the issue. But than how Am I suppose to run extended travel shocks with a stock uca?

Are your lower control arm adjustments maxed? How lift you running?

^ Yours aren't maxed out. You still have plenty of adjustment.

That's so weird. Yours are in a great spot. Mine are definitely maxed out. I can't understand why other than that is the way the spindle was built.

Well I was standing with the techs when they did it. They told me I had to choose between reducing caster or having normal camber. See both camber and caster lobes are all the way inward. So the caster is neutral technically seeing as the camber lobe is all the way in (they are relative to eachother), but if they move it outward than the the lower control arms will extend outward giving me excessive camber in. It's hard to explain but more or less it seems that the spindles have too much camber built into them. The tires are vertical because I checked the wheels with my digital level. I just wish I had some adjustment left.

No. If anything, you should be toe out a bit. +.05* is good.

    Say what

News to me. Please educate me. I've always heard that cars are given a slight amount of toe in and almost every spec sheet I've seen says the same. I know on my R/C cars I run toe out. I've wondered why real cars were different

Dang that's cheap. If it's pulling hard to the right you need some more caster on the right side.

Yup. That would definitely be the thing to do. Caster is just how much your spindles are tilted back towards the cab. It's what causes your steering wheel to return to center after making a turn.
