    You are right they should all be special no matter what they are. This season has just been frustrating for me I shouldn’t downplay my being very fortunate.

    308 150 grain Federal Powershock. I use them in this and the Browning bolt gun they’re relatively cheap and I’ve had good accuracy and they work good on deer

    Chris, when I could still deer hunt, I mostly hunted Game Land here in N.C. Very Limited days for either sex. Tough hunting pressure abound. I had several years of hunting with nothing to put in the freezer. The few times I was able to hunt private land was when I actually killed a deer. So hang in there, there's always next season Lord willing.

    Usually see a third rut here around the 20th or so with doe fawns coming in late. If you get lucky it can mean some late season excitement.
