What is it with all these guys who complain complain complain the base Taco doesn't have the features they want, the 4 cyl this, the transmission that, and then they complain the upper trims are too costly? It's not like the Fords or Chevys are any different price-wise. Buy used. Buy a beat up old truck. Go out and find a way to enjoy your life. It's not about the Taco. It's about what you do with your Taco.

I’m not sure. I’d like to think I don’t make mistakes, but I do. I thought I could get along without a truck, but that was wrong. Thankfully I got a nice deal on my 2024. I’ll know in another year if it’s a keeper or not.

My 2024 TRD Offroad, MT is better in every way that I have measured against my 2006 TRD Offroad MT, that I'm certain that I'll be driving it for more than the 18 years that I enjoyed and loved my 2006.It was a great truck.

All of the electronics were a bit tedious to adapt to, but in the end, I use 80+ percent of them.

Not saying people don't make mistakes. I have made many. But there's just so much weird internet hate toward the 2024. People complaining it still had the 6cyl. People wishing Toyota was still the 'old' Toyota, whatever that means. Seems people are never happy. It's probably the same on the Ford/Chevy/whatever forums - beating on those brands and wishing they'd bought the Toyota. I guess for a lotta people the grass is always greener.

I drove my dad's '24 Colorado yesterday. I can assure you that the grass isn't greener over there.

I have owned Toyota Pickups before they were Tacoma's. My first was a bare bones 1989. and other brands in between. all ways came back to Toyota. I just listen or read about the Good and The Bad and deal with my own issues. Hears a picture of my very first Toyota Pickup. And yes, I would love to have it back pretty much 175000 miles trouble free. 1470388_580076132058165_1682779008_n.jpg and a picture of my very first Toyota 1970 Corolla Sprinter314678_438330212899425_285211362_n.jpg

I have pictures somewhere of my first new vehicle and loan without a cosignatory. Yep, mid 80’s Toyota SR5 truck!

I'm a Land Cruiser guy - we have a 200 series with 250K miles and an 80 series with nearly the same - and they feel/drive almost as good when they came home decades ago. With the proper Land Cruiser discontinued in the US and replaced with the Prado - I decided to look for an alternative for a new daily driver.

I'm a week in with my TRD OR 6MT and have been pleasantly surprised. Fit and finish on the Solar Octane truck is great - maybe because I waited so late in the MY. The truck was produced 10/24 in the Guanajuato Factory - like all 6MT trucks. They seem to have ironed out the early production QC issues - panel gap, plastic trim and gasket sealing is all excellent - as is the paint. I'm not convinced this will age as well as the Land Cruisers - but to be fair they are the flagship and QDR standard for Toyota globally.

At the $41K I paid ($45K MSRP) - I believe the truck presents a strong value. The drive train with the 6MT is a lot of fun to drive, and the coil suspension drives wonderfully. NVH is a thing with the 6MT Taco - but again, it gives the truck character - and highway cruising is not fatiguing.

they are inventing scenarios in their head to justify their opinions because they decided they hated the truck. AWD? do they even own a Tacoma?

Passed a guy in the new LC on a trail. Asked him how does he like it. Shit eating grin and gushing, "This thing is a beast!".

Good looking vehicles too. If I didn't like the ability to hose down a bed, I would get it.

Many of you sound like my grandpa. Go get yourself that old 80’s truck back that allegedly never broke down and was so much better. Enjoy the roll up windows and your 8 track. Good lord. I know you all also walked uphill in three feet of snow both ways to school. Trucks were so much better in those days.

Did anyone that is complaining about the truck they bought actually do ANY research and test drive. I mean you know what the MPG is going to be, that is didn’t have AWD and that it came with a 4 banger. Stop the belly aching, sell the truck and move on down the road. Life is WAAAAAAY to short to own something you are so miserable with.

I would love for them to sell their new Tacoma. I'm looking at Autotrader at some low miles (under 2500 miles) used 2024 Tacoma OffRoad. Might see if they are still for sale after the holidays. Might have to pull the trigger and get one
