that's a great looking curve though.
    Isn't the w59 a slight upgrade from the w56?

Don't know if you've seen this thread old thread, but this guy swapped his W59 for an R150F. There's some useful information in there. No standalone, but he was making good power.

Yeah the W59 has much better internal bracing (keeps the countershaft steady) to keep the gear shearing the W56 is capable of at bay.

I have been keeping my eyes out for the right r series trans around. It will happen for sure. I don't rip on it too hard driving around so I'm guessing it will hold up for a while. But it's up there on the list!

Just wanted to pop back in here with a quick update, while I am also working on a longer separate post:

2RZNoShi1/Jayson has worked nothing short of magic on turning around the tune on my tacoma! I can't believe i let it go this long thinking that this was all my truck had, and that i just had to deal with the quirkyness of my tune...

He took a week and then some, checking over my logs daily and making small adjustments while helping pinpoint a handful of key mechanical factors that were also contributing to my issues. Throughout the process, he was nothing but prompt, professional and polite with his responses and helping me to understand what was happening and what/why we were changing things.

I now have a fantastic daily driver that is smooth and responsive, with power on tap whenever I decide it's time to hit the skinny pedal and have some fun! My fuel economy has returned back to almost 300 miles to a tank, and I've been seeing 1.5lbs more boost (9.5!) And the truck still feels like it has more to unleash

I am a huge fan and looking forward to what he and his friend Zane are cooking up. I am also looking forward to taking a trip over this summer and getting my truck on the dyno with them! If you are needing a tune or help, I can't recommend him enough! I am so thankful for this community, and cool people like him that are willing to take the time to help. Cheers!

It was a pleasure working with you, and I'm glad I was able to help get your truck running to its potential! And I'm always here if you need anything, or have any questions!

If mileage is your concern there is all sorts of fun little optimizations to be had.

sounds like the price for a tune is going up by an additional case of beer. How many Toyotas can we fit on the dyno in a single day haha

My next door neighbor has offered to let me use his work dyno (there's kinda a long standing promise of mine associated with that though)
He does welding for custom vipers and shiit
Maybe if we all attach to one tow line that'll count as one lol

Toyota dyno day! Guess I'll have to get bigger injectors and run some e85 in mine and see how much I can squeeze out of it before my transmission becomes a 0 speed

@Speedytech7 @2RZNoShi1 if want to take a look and make some adjustments and re-upload, I'll just do a map compare to see what you think could help. Thanks in advance
