Nice having someone who is willing to go on a spur of the moment to run down to Wichita and then take an hour detour and spend 7ish hours in a truck just to get truck junk of and cheese curds! Haha

Got the barricade raptor style bumper for the standard f150s and a set of ditch light brackets for cheap!

After a complete nightmare and multiple weeks and missed ship dates and not being able to get a hold of the company many times I finally got my wheels from powder coat...

They honestly look great and are the color I wanted so I'm happy with the end result just not the company overall and I had a chat with the dude running it and told him this was complete bs .....

well the bottle caps are on. i still need different center caps and also lug nuts but thats something later to worry about.
sadly we do have some paint issues with the wheels from the oh so great powder coat company... we noticed it after getting the tires mounted (one of the shop guys called me over to look at it before they put a tire on... told em to just mount it these are place holders for a year..) so a bit disapointed there since this company sounded good but turns out to just be well shit... i do not recommend ever using powdertek powdercoating in kansas if you are in the area..
    upload_2024-11-21_6-52-3.jpg
i also feel i should have gone 285/75/17s over 285/70/17s lol the nokians for my first ride into work was really nice thou. the tires have a low pitch hum that doesnt seem to get louder and just stays at a certain volume the entire time. road a lot smoother over bumps with having more sidewall then my 20in wheels i do have more sidwall flex in corners which is to be expected tbh. i also shaved 2 lbs off per tire haha my 20in wheels and goodyears were 79-81lbs combo this combo is sitting at 76-77ish so not to bad tbh!

edit: put on a 77k miles to see how long the tires last on miles and such. according to the company they are rated for i think 55k? so lets see if they make it to 132k miles. id imagine towing anything heavy will make those miles not as many but wait and see tbh.

Nothing much just a simple phone pic. I still need to paint the bumper and the hub caps but that will be this weekend.

tree removal and sanding and painting kinda weekend!

removed a tree that was in-between my fence and my neighbors that kept hitting powerlines killing our power plus its in the way for me to go and mow that part of my yard so ive hated that little tree for years! really wasnt as little as i thought! entire little trailer was full and my bad was pretty dang full of logs that were cut up for firewood for my parents.

did a lot of sanding and painting so we got the hub caps to match even thou i was told by the shop he just couldnt do it... well i did... wasnt to damn hard... also fixed a few dents on the barricade bumper and stripped allllll of its paint! this thing was painted like 3-4 times! so it took a lot of work to get it off but i got it all off and painted it and should be fine until i find another shop to powdercoat things... a

also installed my sdhq ditch light brackets. need to wire them up over the break if i have time. but ya got some other stuff im gonna go grab for cheap off marketplace this weekend one thing will be visible while one thing goes in the rear suspension.

No thanksgiving photos but hope everyone had a good one! We both had 4 days off. But wasn't an easy one sadly... Lilly slipped down the steps Thursday morning and hurt her leg more or back not fully sure yet... She is doing better now and is up and moving and eating but not putting weight on that foot so most likely will need to take her into the vet. Then Friday Emily got sick af soooo hurray sick gf and then I started getting sick haha. We did get some snow thou! It's Emily's first snow in like 15 ish years so she isn't to great at making snow balls haha but she had fun messing about even thou she wasn't feeling well.

So overall a decent ish weekend hope everyone else has a good thanksgiving or what ever you celebrate lol

Cleans up good still. Gotta take the front crash bars off so they don't sit so goofy below the bumper. Overall happy with it thou. Still want different wheels next year and suspension (especially since my rear shocks started leaking haha) plus a chase rack and fender flares but all in time.

Ew. Never liked huge tires. 1000% opposed to any frame mods or trimming.

i mean just go to a set of 285s they are barley larger then stock if you have the factory 275/55/20s and some different wheels lol
ive had a roll bar many years ago and always liked the idea of a chase rack and a more prerunner style build. with everything i use to do on my tacomas it was never something i wanted or needed. this thou i can have something in the bed to mount some lights and have bit of a different look and still haul my dirtbikes around without it being in the way.

i also wasnt expecting to find one for 200 bucks lol i wanted this one
    [IMG]
but 1200 is a lot for something like that tbh...
