The door switch on my old kenmore dryer went out . . .
I should replace it but I'd rather wait till something more functional breaks so I'm not just taking it apart for shits and giggles..

Are you t about the door lock while it’s washing? I just replaced mine for like under $20 including shipping. Two hex screws. Done .
As for the dryer. Only thing that went wrong was the power connection under the lint screen wasn’t connected well enough causing machine do all sorts of random stuff. Now it works fine. Still think I’ll put new rollers when I do that idler pulley. I won’t have to spend an hour vacuuming the hell out of it for an hour this time though

 

So the washer door shut off has been broken for like 10 years - don't care; maybe when I actually have to take it apart . . .

I did replace the gas solenoid on the dryer 2yr back
But now the door switch is broken (so it keeps drying even if you open the door) - I ain't taking it apart again just for that

But yeah when I did take it apart a few years back, I spent a good deal of time vacuuming it out cause fuzz everywhere!!
