SXTH exhaust tip

I just removed the old tailpipe and installed the SXTH Exhaust. The Exhaust upon initial start up is noticeably louder but not annoying.

 

Yeah, when I installed my $40 similar pipe made by a local exhaust shop, I really haven’t noticed any noise increase/very minimal…

yours looks like a quality part, also inexpensive…

I agree lots of welds, but it is solid.

No. It was just louder upon start up.

 

Did you have to jack up the back or move the spare to wiggle the tail pipe out? Mine's coming Wednesday

 

Jacked up the rear and that’s it.

 

Drive 340 miles with the axel dump this weekend, it is slightly louder. Gives the exhaust a deeper tone (No drone). To be honest it now sounds pretty decent for a 4 banger.

 

Thanks for the info, I'll probably pick one of these up since the only other option I like at the moment is that AWE exhaust, but that is straight theft at $1200

 

id agree those pie cuts likely are all from one long peice of tube stock set the chop saw, rip the cuts down, and then grinder wheel and weld it up.

 

Ty mine comes today and will be putting it and the airbox on tomorrow.

 

I am excited to see the results of your airbox. Do you have a hybrid or just turbo?

 

Just the regular offroad but it is a manual so hopefully can get some nice boost sounds

Update on sound: the weather has suddenly dropped to 30's and upon initial start up the exhaust makes a loud droning sound and it goes away, then comes back and when the rpms settle to about 1000, it goes away. I don't know if anyone else is experiencing that...
