Last Nutcracker show for the kiddo today at 3.

It was my first time seeing it yesterday, and her second show (Friday was the first). They did a really great job with it.

 

it was "nutcrackin" cold up on the hill this morning.

 

Watching off road videos on YouTube.

Can't wait for my parts to get here. Once fully armored I could breath a little easier while off-roading.

I'm going to see if I can find the total weight of the parts I'll be adding.

edit: 155 pounds for the full skid package (engine, transmission, transfer case and fuel tank), can't find the weight of the sliders

Don't put off until tomorrow what you can put off until next month

 

Just sitting here waiting on parts.

 

We can weigh the sliders before we burn them on. Id guess its only 80-90 lbs.

I am going to weld on partially for that reason too.

 

What gap between the body and slider do you try to get?

 

About an inch seems right to me, the sliders will have some deflection as well as the body moves. Are you looking to have them angled up or flat?

 

I didn't know that was an option. Aren't most of them angled?

 

We can do whatever you want. Angled gets better clearance but not quite as good as a step.

 

Not looking for a step at all. Just protection.

 

My 4x's came with like 15 or 20 degrees out the box, I think its perfect for protection and still has some step functionality too

 

I like the 20 degree tilt on the warfab too

 

Mine are 15-20 degrees and when they get used they hit the cab enough to have small dents. You are way lighter so might not be an issue.

 

Definitely don't want them hitting the cab. It's panel damage that I'm trying to avoid.

 

Go with 0-10 degrees. The step is nice for lady friends

 

Or those of us with short inseams...
