Hi everyone, please provide some insight. I want to buy this 2011 tacoma 4x4 manual transmission 110k miles. It has 3 owners, 2 come from midwest. I got these images from dealership.. they are asking 18k + Tax title. I see some rust underneath, I am not local so can only go by images. Please let me know what you guys think, mostly worried about rust...ps. they will send me images of engine bay in the near future apparently. THANK YOU GUYS

Looks like it may not have had the rear leaf spring recall performed, those look like the old 3-leafs and there should be 4.

So about $20,000 out the door,14 year old truck, with rust.
Remember that truck is no longer good for a free frame.

You need too see/inspect the truck in person, the dealer sending you pictures mean nothing.

Got it... I might pass on this.... i was thinking of throwing the 15k OTD offer but may not even be worth that and dealership will laugh at the offer also...

I like it, I wouldn't buy it for 20k. I think I could find a better way to spend 20k. If it was my truck I wouldn't want to get rid of it, and I'd want more for it than I'd want to pay. TX Pros are nice trucks and they aren't going to be cheap and easy to find.

well, option B for me is a 3rd gen tacoma.... I am currently seeing one locally @34k+title tax. its a 2022, black, MT, 60k miles, stock, 1 owner clean carfax.... just getting "pre buyers remorse"... since for another 10k i can get the 4th gen 0 miles and warranty... idk

you know that being a truck it’s tall enough to inspect rust, right?
You can lay on the floor. Or a moving blanket. Or use a creeper.

    A turd gen?

If you really want a new vehicle but are just out of the price range, maybe buy a cheap beater for a couple years and wait out the new generation growing pains/bs. Save up some extra cash and buy it. Or spend the 10k on something else. Don't have to go all in on every purchase.

I would go look at the TX Pro truck,it might be a diamond, and the dealer may very well take a little less money, you just don't know until you ask.
