So I got one of these for my daughter.

While she is here I thought we would run-through-it so it wouldn't be the
first time if she ever needed to use it.

Can we 'do-this' with a fully charged car-battery?
That is hook it up, turn it on, crank her car even tho her battery is still good?
Am I going to start a nuclear-fusion-reaction by doing that?

Not sure about "feedback", but attaching is simple ... red to red, then black to black, then press power. Wait 10-30 seconds for some power to start flowing. Practice on a couple of pieces of wood that do not conduct, or attach to rubber parts near the battery.

You can show the other uses ... attaching cell phone to USB-A plug and press power.

Right, I'm yapping about hooking it up as if jumping her car and actually turning the engine over
while the thing is turned on - will doing this with a 'good-battery' mess anything up.

Cannot state for sure ... never done it. I like to not risk such things but others may say "no risk".

But there is little difference between pretending to attach red/red and black/black then turn it on and wait ... to actually doing it. But you do as you wish ... probably nothing will blow up.
