A little something every chance we get.
:hattip:Hey, slow and successful putz accomplished.

Have to tell you that our new pup, Mac, SAVED us from the living room table yesterday. Glass table, curled legs, medallion at the center of the legs where they meet. I was in the sunroom watching football, heard barking, went to see the wife and pup - figuring a CAT outside. No. He was INTENSE about something under the table. We moved crafts, and boxes of yarn exposing everything. He still insisted something was up. Lots of little barks. With EVERYTHING out of the way, finally got him to get close enough to that medallion in the middle. He gave it a definitive I WIN BARK, and trotted off, his work of saving done!

So his name is Mac? Did he respond? Or you just found one you liked?

Oddly enough.... wife picked that one out, so..... We actually called him all of OUR suggestions, YOUR suggestions, my WIFES FRIENDS suggestion, and the best we got was that look. But when she went to the pet store to get him his tag, with MAC (Christensen) on it, he was VERY proud to have a name, and now responds like a typical puppy!

I am 61 medically retired last year. SSDI for me is what it would be if I retired at full retirement age 67. If I make 67 it will transistion to SS Retirement. So for my circumstances there were no choices.

    Good morning fellow Porchatonians!!!

MRI results came back showing no changes. I still need to talk to my Doc but it looks like I get another 2 years before a re-look.

I’m kinda in the same boat, they denied my disability claim, I just waited until full retirement age at 66.5 before drawing. SSI doesn’t consider not being able to drive a car due to seizures a disability, took them 18 months to decide.

    Good news indeed.

Good morning. Social Security retirement is different for everyone, there is no cookie cutter approach. I was RIF'ed at 61 with 6 months' pay in the package. I looked into returning to work and going on SS. Taking SS at 62 and the decreased payout would mean that at 87 I would be at a loss from the money gained. Then I found out my son had a benefit because he was still in school and that knocked the break-even time till age 112. Turned 62 2 weeks before the payout ended so I retired and never looked back. Everyone's story is different, do what works for you. I am 12 years into retirement and feel everything is moving along nicely.

Yes, all circumstances are different! Here's to you making it to WAAAAAAY beyond 67!

    Fantastic news!

Jim, yes...I know others that had challenges in getting resolution to claims!

Good morning all. One more Teams meeting with my supervisor today and then I'll be off the radar screen until I submit my resignation on the 30th.  buh-bye.
So blessed to have an opportunity to move on and away from this company. :mudding:
Another confirmation of my timely decision came yesterday during our regular regional Monday meeting when we were all informed that one our colleagues in Atlanta was let go on Friday. He was with the company for 32 years! No severance, nothing. Merry freakin Christmas... We already new our supervisor was a POS...but WOW! :argue:

    Good Morning Porch Folks:hattip:.

Left Long Island last night at 8:30 so I wouldn't have to fight NY rush hour traffic  this morning. Rained off and on but we made it home in 3 1/2 hours which for driving through parts of NY is good. HVAC appointment at 12 then off to dinner with friends at 6 . Life is GOOD :)

Have a great day and be safe out there :fistbump:

    Good Morning Jim :hattip:
Glad you have the oppurtunity to get out of dodge on your terms instead of your AH POS boss letting you go like your colleague. That is truly a knife in the back especially right around the holidays. Enjoy the time off before the new job starts. Merry Christmas :proposetoast:.

    Be safe and enjoy. :fistbump:
