I have an 03 SR5 2.7 4 cyl. 5 speed. Original owner living in NE US. Frame treated in 08? maybe but rusted out now, won't pass inspection. Has just under 65,000 miles. Interior is close to mint, A/C works, performed oil changes religiously, all around good condition minus hood/roof paint, damage to driver door and... frame. Don't have $ or time to swap out frame and all other rusted components or part it out. Was just wondering taco owners opinions on ball park numbers what I could look to get for it private sale as is? Ty

Honestly it's only worth what you can get, but it won't be much, if everything but the frame is good I would part it out or sell it as a part truck.

Thank you for the reply. I know it's not worth much, unfortunately, and know I'd get more parting it out. Was just curious to see if members here knew from experience what I might get for it selling complete as parts truck.

Honestly, i'd take it to these guys and see what they say. I took mine there last summer and they were great. You kinda have a unicorn there so if the body is generally rust free, you may want to think again...

You do see total rusty turd burgers on CL and FB with trashed interiors for like $5k so you do have value if the rest of the truck is nice. Clean interior bits are worth something, so would the engine and drive train. See if it is repairable first -- safetycap is the right start.

    What makes an '03 SR5 4cyl truck a "unicorn"?

I know I could've done a frame swap, but $$, time, tools, garage space make it impossible. Never wanted to part with it , low miles, new exhaust/cats/good cond otherwise frame, but thought time has come. I'll definitely check out Safety Cap and AutoRust.com Just hope frame is not too far gone.
