Looking good  tires look huge! I think it’s the angle because every time I look at mine I think they’re small

Thank you! 2” the front and 1” in the back. Bought this truck used with the TRD factory lift so it’s bilsteins for the front and a block in the rear. Planning on getting new suspension for the rear at some point.

Nice! I'll be going with a 2" Front and 1" rear as well. I got the Dirt King 2.0 coilovers and rear shocks (and blocks) going on in January. Looking at going 255/85 16. Same tires you got.

Sweet rig! The bronze on silver is so clean.

And it’s hard to find a concrete answer on the trd lift kit. They just say “TRD tuned” bilstein shocks. My best guess is they’re just 5100s with the trd branding slapped on. The kit also comes with the pro grill and proper lift mounting for TSS features. Whatever it is it rides great!

Width variations on tires of the same size is so interesting to me. My 255/85r16 yoko g003s were dumb narrow. They looked so odd compared to my brothers falken at3w and dad's cooper st Maxx both 255/80r17. The st Maxx measured half an inch wider. My 285 at4ws are half an inch wider and a quarter inch talller then the 285 at3w. Which is why the how do I fit this tire or that tire conversation is not so cut and dry.

Did you have to do any trimming to fit the 255's?

How do you like the size? I’m really wanting this size, 255/85/17 but I don’t know if they will rub too bad on my 2006 Tacoma with stock suspension. I can easily have the shop do some cutting, but I can’t afford a lift or different UCA’s at this time. I don’t daily this truck, but I don’t want major rubbing either.

Do not buy them! 255/85r17 will rub everything at stock height. It’s technically a 35” tire and will not fit. What you want is a 255/80r17 tire. That size is 33” and will fit at stock height with stock rim offset. If you have aftermarket rims with an offset or you run wheel spacers on factory rims, you will rub and might need a cab mount chop and inner fender plastic trim
