    Thanks Jim!

Yeah, sourdough baking is happening here as well; I pulled this loaf of dark rye with caraway out of the oven yesterday:

Tom seems to be such a good chef it never occurred to me he'd want any more recipes.

@95SLE, I'd be happy to pass along any recipes you might want. :)

:notsure: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Waiting on a cold front with a spot of rain, running an errand, wrapping gifts while the wife is a pickleball. That is all..

Buenos Dias/ Good morning from clear and cold Southern California,
Sciatica pain not so bad, so, no Norco today (yet), lol. Funny how it varies day to day even when I do the same thing each day!
Too bad the being over sixty (I am 67) means you discuss pains instead of outdoor activities! I would rather be four-wheeling in Baja and photographing historic locations!

    Sue!

Dave, when I see petroglyphs they always intrigue me, too bad there are morons out there who are willing to deface them along with beauties of nature and things of historical significance!

Fortunately, not much of that in Baja... maybe there is more appreciation for them or just that they are harder to get to (no paved roads nearby)?
I made a page with my petroglyph & pictograph locations (links to photos) in Baja:
    https://vivabaja.com/rock-art/
    Please check them out!

Just got back from my weekly Wednesday morning breakfast with my retired old fart friends. There’s usually anywhere from 6 to 12 of us. We talk about everything , no subject is off the table. Fortunately we are all mostly like minded. Just a really great time I look forward every week. My wife looks forward to it too, since she gets rid of me for a couple hours.
I’ve got exactly no plans for today. Think I’ll do a little reading, workout, and then cook dinner of Shrimp Scampi. And a glass of a superb Cabernet that I recently purchased and have been wanting to try. Life is great, retirement is great. Be safe all.

Good Morning Carl :hattip:. People don't appreciate the beauty of nature or history. They will cry after they have have to explain why they did it to a judge if they get caught :quickdraw:

I checked them out Dave, thanks for the link!

There are tons of artifacts and an abundance of big rocks locally, but I never heard of any petroglyphs in our area, just learned that Pa does have some along the Susquehanna River and west of it, and a single large stone with them was found along the Delaware River on the NJ side.

    Nice...
My favorite petroglyph is the Lone Warrior in the San Rafael Swell, in Utah.

This is the only art on a huge, otherwise blank wall. I think the panel is named because people think the large, round disc is a shield... but I think it's the sun setting or rising behind the figure. Anyway, that's what I'd like to believe.
