Mirroring Iphone to truck screen

Hey Does anyone know what device can mirror or play videos on truck screen . Something price around $125.00 that is almost plug and play?. I tried the Ottocast car tv mate pro. It worked while I was driving under 30 mph . after that it would lose connection. I don't want to have to pay for at&t internet in my tacoma. I have a DKGEA car play adapter that plays you tube and nexflix coming Sunday to try out. I don't have confidence it will work. Just something to mirror my iPhone to watch my Amazon prime and Tube TV when I go camping .

Can you read iphone texts from this? The factory one only does it with voice once no replay from what i can figure out.

 

Tried running it a few different ways and could not get texting to work, though I suspect I'm just not "tech savvy" enough. Possibly if connected via a usb cable vs wireless it may.

 

I use this one for $200. I had a cheaper one and the lag was terrible. You need at least 4gb ram for a decent experience. This one has 8 and is perfectly smooth operation . Mine is great. I have Netflix, Amazon, hbo, and brave browser for streaming. Also have an app to mirror my phone with no issues. (App was $5 for the pro version. I forget what it’s called. ) but I hardly mirror and just use the streaming apps by themselves.

just plug in and it connects my phones hotspot. Up in running in a minute.

I purchased this car play. it worked a bit while I was parked. When I started driving it lagged badly and would freeze video but audio would come thru. I returned today. I guess I have to get a expensive one to try out.

 

I have tried 3 different one and the latest being a MMB box from $178. i get audio but no video. a Cheaper mmb box i got video and audio but it lost connection after doing 35mph. I guess I will not be able to get with my iphone security for safe driving.

 

People really do this while driving? What the eff

Bullshit. Most people go camping to get away from their screens But even if you wanted to watch that stuff while you’re camping, that’s what iPads are for. In the tent. Or in the truck bed.

Nobody is gonna go sit in the damn truck cab while they’re camping to watch TV. And rest stops? Whatever.

 

Some people need to read entire post before they have a reply. I am in my mid 60’s and I worked & retired from nj state NJ -transit transportation. I know not to get distracted by cell phone or other devices. Why is it hard for some people to believe i would only use a mirroring device while camping or if stopped at a rest stop . I used to ride a motor cycle in my day so i understand concerns of safety.
