The one time in 3 years at this apartment that I didn't lock my Wheeling truck, they went through. It. Made a mess of things. Skipped all the tools in the back and might have taken a pack of gum out of the center console.

City problems... although, to be fair a few years back we had a bad run here with the methheads getting into peoples stuff.

So, I am going to call the store in Duluth and see what I can do to procure one. If not I will get back to you! Price is too good to pass on even if I don't really need two 12k winches on the truck (doesn't hurt to have an extra)

That just means you'll have to buy a second vehicle. For your second winch.

Can't be wasting a good winch now, can we ...

Gotta feel bad for Dusty Dave. He has the blue Jeep 4XE. There is a recall due to the battery occasionally burning down peoples houses, so he took it in for the fix, which is basically a software update. On his, the update failed. Since it failed, they impounded the Jeep and will hold it until the new replacement parts show up. They expect March at the earliest. Since they are having quite a few recalls, they have no loaner cars.

Wow.. This sucks, but the ending is awesome!

I think sometimes people just go through unlocked vehicles looking for whatever they can find. A similar thing happened to a friend of mine years ago. He didn't lock his car, and someone went in it overnight. They took loose change and an open pack of cigarettes.

Maybe Jeep should buy a new Land Cruiser and give it to Dave as a loaner. Apparently they're not selling very well anyway, so they can probably get a good deal, lol.

Well, he did say that in a perfect world, they would buy back the Heep and he's put that cash towards buying a new Land Cruiser. He really likes those a lot.

He should buy a new GX. Those are even nicer.

I used to be into high end car audio. Thousands and thousands of dollars invested. Security, paranoia ect ect. The time I forgot to lock the car they broke the windows (plural!!!) without checking the door handles. Still didn't get anything but a couple CD's and the head unit because everything else was in the trunk or inaccessible.

A few nights ago a homeless man, stabbed and killed a younger guy from Medford at a bar down the road from my house.
Homelessness in E.C. is becoming a major problem....to the point the city is addressing it.....what they plan to do is beyond me....

There's a good chance those random car scavengers are just homeless people.

This one will go in the tray out back. I am doing a new bumper so my current system on a receiver front/rear is going away... Needed one for the back. Don't have the storage anyway as that is where the current winch lives so win win.

Those buggers are heavy! I was gonna carry it to the checkout but said F this and went to get a shopping cart. Yeah, Harbor Freight's shopping carts are puny and weak and it felt like it was gonna collapse. Anyway it's in my truck now.

Was anybody thinking of planning some kind of winter run in the next couple of months? Just wondering if that could be a meet up to get the winch to Pat. If anyone has any plans to be somewhere between the SE corner of the state and Pat, we could set up a TW Express. Otherwise, I could head up there for a day of wheeling with Pat some weekend, or it can wait until KenTWucky25.

If anyone can get it within 50 miles of E.C. I can relay it further north.
