    Do you mean Deaver?

The U402 Stage 1 should give you a little over 1" of lift with that bed weight.

If you don't have bed stiffeners, they would be a good investment also with the cab or just if you go offroad at all.

Oops yes . Danm auto spell correct. Ok that is what I was wondering. On there web sight they said 2in . But I wasn't sure if that is before or after the weight . Yes I definitely did the bed stiffeners before installing the shell .Thank you for suggesting the stiffeners much appreciated !

You might want to consider stage II as well. Stage I is designed for 0 to 300 lb and stage II is 400 to 600 lb. When you load it up with camping gear and stuff it's easy to push over that 300 lb mark which is a little arbitrary in my opinion.. I have stage II and sometimes run an empty bed and sometimes have as much as 1,000 lbs. It's a little stiff when empty but I think a lot of it comes down to a matter of preference.

The lift they note, 2 inches in this case, is loaded to the rated weight. If you are unloaded, the lift will be much higher. I'm running stage 3 for my camper, and if I take out the camper I probably have like 6 inches of rear lift, lol. practically zero down travel.

Looking at that link, I swear for 2nd gens the lift was rated at 3 inches. I think the 2 inch is for 3rd gens, as they sit slightly higher to begin with.

Yeah I've been running the Stage II for a few years with about 500lbs constant load. I wouldn't use them with much less weight than I've got.

Damn. From what I've seen that's the unweighted lift and have seen other guys report about it goes down to ~1.25" lift with 200lbs on that pack. Leaf packs always seem to lift more than advertised though. Aside from the ride quality being awful, that's the other thing that pissed me off about my RXT pack. Lifted way more than it said. Couldn't get rid of that pack quick enough.

Yeah, Deaver are definitely rating the lift WITH the rated weight. It takes 2000 or so pounds of weight to get my rear end back down to stock height.

    Yep
    Rated weight
    And it’s based on a 3rd Gen
The 2nd Gen should be able to add a lot more weight to the rating.

Danm . So if I only want 1" of lift with the 200 pound shell I wonder if I should go with the j66 springs ? They are rated at 1"of lift but it doesn't say with how much weight. So being that they don't mention any weight if that is just with an empty stock bed ?

Deaver will bend custom leaf springs for your truck if you tell them your weight and where you want it to ride. They just won't be available off the shelf. Alcan will do the same.

Do you not usually run with anything under that 200 pound shell? I always feel that weight adds up far faster than people expect. I actually planned to go Stage 2 originally, but a friend told me I should get Stage 3 for this reason. I'm extremely glad I did.

And if you do go Deaver, when first installed they'll be even higher. It took awhile for mine to settle, same thing happened with my buddy's raptor. Looked silly in the rear for a bit, even loaded.

J66 is what I'm running now. They're not designed for weight as they do not have an overload leaf. I've put a couple hundred lbs in mine and it didn't protest too much, but not sure how much weight it would want to have on a daily basis. You could run the J66 + move over your factory overload and get the best of both worlds with about 1.5" unloaded weight, but it would be best to contact Deaver directly for your needs. Wish they offered more packs that didn't jack up the bed super high.

I love the J66 unloaded though, which is how my truck is 99% of the time. Highly recommend to everyone with an empty bed.

Yeah the 200 pound shell is what I run 99 % of the time . When I do put more weight it's not in there for to long .
