What have you bought in the last 48 hours gun related?

Snagged this little-bit-of-history a couple of days ago.

c. 1944 Pistole 640(b)

Yeah...it's just a Browning Hi Power. The odd designation, serial number, and german proof marks technically make this a 640(b). The FN factory in Belgium was overrun by the Germans in 1940 and made sidearms for the Wehrmacht until the allies retook it in 1944. The fit and finish actually look like it was manufactured by a bunch of pissed off Belgians. But....I ran a box of 9MM FMJ through it, and it still functions just like John Moses Browning designed it to.

 

Picked up a couple of the new T mags today to try out.

 

What's the difference to PMAGs?

 

These are completely transparent

 

I've seen videos of the feed lips being pretty flimsy compared to a pmag. Thoughts?

 

Don’t know yet but I have heard that and the opposite so time will tell because I am going to try and break them

I figured Magpul probably did a little bit of testing on them before they released them for sale and if I am wrong it would not be the first gun related thing I waisted money on.

I’m stopping by Core 15 factory tomorrow on my way back home to see what they have. I’ve known these guys for yrs and if they have some blems they hook me up.

 

ArmsUnlimited had PD trade-in M&P15 carbines going for $299. Looked okay too and they were the original models (not the current Sport ones).

both the 16's are the new additions and both are blemished. One I can’t find anything wrong and the single pic you can see the blemished area by the forward assist. For the deal I got one cant be unhappy

 

They like to play 30 round pickup, like we used to play 52 card pickup with our dad's before they left to get cigs.

 

I like a see through mag, but I never bought into all the rainbow colored Lancer mags. I have a couple red and a couple orange ones but that’s it. To me the window on the older PMags is just not big enough.
