There's always color matched flares...if all else fails. :D My truck has them.
But I'm gonna try for the black as it makes a nice accent.

I rit dyed these. They turned more blue. Glued them on taped off the body lines around them sprayed plastidip.

On this I painted the body. Taped off the body at the flair used a plastic bag to save tape and sprayed the flares.

Was a fun learning experience trying braze/solder this tiny non magnetic tubing. Trying to get pieces to stay while I apply heat/solder. Glad with how it turned out, but the next one will come out even better!

Been tinkering with the FCX10 after work for the past few days - ended up swapping out all the electronics:

    - Hobbywing Fusion SE 1800kv
    - Hitech HS-7950TH servo
    - Castle BEC
    - Amazon light controller
    - Hacked Flysky GT3C with FS9 8 channel receiver

I sleeved all the wiring in purple loom. Also cut and shortened wiring to length to try and keep the excess and minimal as possible.

I am having a hell of a time with these links.

Either, Injora's pictures are generic and not to be used or I'm missing parts although something tells me I'm not and the pictures aren't accurate.

The first couple times I switched out my links, I was thinking I would never do that again! I do it now like riding a bike, and 95% of the time it's easy. Sometimes I put a 1.5mm hex in the hole to help line it up but it gets easier with practice.

Yeah assembly itself, super easy. This is what I mean.

The stock pictures show the links all using the brass piece on the left. I *believe* I'm missing one if I indeed have to use them on each end of every link.

The piece on the right I assume is used for the shocks themselves, even though pictures make it hard to see and there are no instructions ANYWHERE (even by owners). I have 6 of these pieces.

    20241219_081607.jpg

The pictures online not only show the left piece used on their links when apart, but also on their underside pics.

Here's the rear of mine showing the aftermarket lowers.

    20241219_081438.jpg

The front lowers are supposed to go the same way, but again I'm short one brass piece I think.

I would think the one on the left goes where a screw head would contact it or where the mount is single shear vs the right which may go on the double shear locations or through a rod where the screw head does touch.

What it sounds like you're saying is, based on my picture, the screws that are currently mounted are correct.

But that the rear of that link should use the "ball" in lieu of the brass part it has inside of it because the shock is the end that receives the screw. I could totally see this as the means of install.

    I'll go mess with it.

Wonder if I was looking at this wrong then (Injora pic).

Based on that photo the balls go in the shocks and the others like you have them in the links. Sent you the wrong number

Yep, that's why I kept the balled part separate, because I too believe they go in the shocks.

So that still leaves me with a brass part missing for my link.

Chinese company so naturally I won't get a response for a few days

They just can't count to 4. Like missing a spring on a set of shocks.

@Kwikvette Weird they shorted you. Everything I've gotten so far from Injora came with too much hardware lol

Yeah the tires came with extra hardware

Also, the links came with extra hardware itself it seems

    20241219_131615.jpg

All I can think of is, maybe two brass pieces from my links are to be replaced by two of these ball pieces in the bottom bag? Comes with 6 total, assuming 4 are used for the shock bottoms.

Or I am indeed missing one of the brass pieces in the top bag because without this one part installed, two of my links have no brass inserts.

I'm waiting to hear back on install.

I tried using the ball piece in the links and they are extremely tight as if the ball is larger than those used in the other links.

I just bought a Vanquish VRD Carbon kit. My CFO/Wife is gonna kill me when the required parts to complete this build start rolling in.

God help me to not steal all the parts off Fat Pig II!!! I would hate to see my Ascent in pieces!
