Small observation I made in the last couple of days, seems that the 2011 regular cab trucks don't have door badges. I've had my truck 2 weeks and I just realized they weren't there. Started looking at others and noticed that none of the reg cabs have them.

Hmm. Saves the trouble of removing them, probably saved Toyota a few bucks too.

..I have a list of many things.
Or could be running out of supplies? I was behind a base 6 lug 4x4 the other day and it didnt have near as many emblems as previous trucks did

That makes sense. My 2011 didn't - but I just figured it was because it was black, and someone realized the black would look better without it. When I bought mine, the only other ones on the lot were '10s and they all had door badges.

At any rate, I removed the tailgate badges within a couple days of getting home, and would have done the same to the doors had they been there.

Toyota did this on purpose. Nowadays when younger guys buy vehicles the big thing to do is debadge their rides, to be different.

Now they are selling the trucks without badges, so they can sell the badges for a premium at the dealership and people can add the badges, again to be different.

Toyota plans on generating an additional 2.7 Million in sales of their badges alone by the end of 2013, via this route.

LOL, yeah I can see the threads now.... "Should I badge my truck?" :D

You never know what Toyota's thinking when they do stuff like this. Personally, I'm glad it doesn't have the door badges. It could be a cost-savings ploy to keep their reg cab trucks as cheap as possible (primarily for the sake of fleet sales). Plus, it would be preferable for fleet trucks to not have the badge, to make more room for their own door stickers.

It could also be something as simple as someone misplaced the door jig that locates the badges on reg cab doors when they moved equipment from NUMMI to San Antonio. :D

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I initially thought the OP said his truck didn't have doors. Hmmm Jeep style half doors on my Taco. I'd do it.
