Wasn’t listed as r150. I found some other options here but they’re from a 3.0, which I think Zane said wouldn’t work.

Looks like the frame on the gf mustang is bent..

Her property damage liability coverage maximum only has to cover the other vehicle not hers as well right?
Her repairs come out of a different bucket from collision/comprehensive insurance, right?

Never dealt with any of this before

    liability covers the other vehicle

collision coverage will cover the damage to her vehicle

policies usually have a different payout limit for each type of coverage, you should be able to find it in the insurance policy documentation

    This.

And if for some reason the other party claims injury, etc there are different limits for that as well.

It's all in her insurance policy as there are separate amounts you pay for regarding private property, medical, etc.

also probably a good time to evaluate the limits of the policy. I think a 25k limit for collision used to be the norm but given the insane cost of new vehicles it might be worth bumping that up

I'll have to check, she sent me a spreadsheet with most the limits but it didn't have a number for collision.

Was getting real worried because she somehow only has 25k in liability coverage, if that had to cover her car and the other she'd probably be screwed if they total her car out.
Forcing her to bump that to 100k on renewal anyway.

No one claimed any injury on the scene, but I am worried she's going to get a letter about medical bills a couple months down the road.

You have state minimums too, which I'm sure they're at or above

But if you look at the state minimums, it's a joke most times and not enough to cover real expenses in the event that you do need to use it

Yeah state min is 15k, honestly higher than I thought I figured AZ would have something stupid like 5k
Either way, anything <100k seems dangerous these days when just a new 3/4 ton is 80k+

yeaaaaa it's easy to just accept a policy and think nothing of it til you need it. When I shopped insurance my broker/agent recommended bumping to 100k and I kind of grumbled about that, but the rates she came up with at that limit were better than my lower coverage plan with someone else so I went with it. I was glad to have it when I had a run in with a jaguar :homer:

Well it's much more than that, I wasn't going to go back and try to capture everything

I was doing an inventory on Z parts so there's a lot against the wall in the garage, and on the other side I need to put a bunch of tools away so yeah it's a lot everywhere :burp:

Yeah I doubt she gave it any thought, her premium is high enough already since shes had a claim or two already (no damage to other cars before this tho). Probably just picked the lower number. This renewal is gonna huuurtt her though. Already was paying more than me when I have two cars with 100/300 coverage

if he tore it down and resealed it, I'd imagine he'd ask for more if it was actually a good transmission lol

I did this once with a jeep transmission. "great shape" blah blah price too cheap to resist. checked out fine by hand. put it in and it had crazy noise in 5th lol

idk how well it will go over to bring up to her but most of the big companies you can get a discount for taking a remedial driving class / driver safety / defensive driving class lol
