I just ordered King 2.5 Coil-Over Shocks front and rear with intention to adjust them for a 2.5" lift (stock springs) on a 2024 Off Road.
So I understand correctly that the ECGS bushing replacement on the drivers side CV axle is a must to avoid problems?
How much time in labor is in the install?

Book says 5 hours! Real world 2-3, best to do it when installing the shocks, since it’s already 1/2 way tore down. I would have if I’d have known it’s still an issue!

Definitely would be easier with the shock removed to install the bushing..

    Can you explain your situation?

I recently lifted my truck with a 2.5 king kit and when I turn into driveways at full lock my truck clunks/thumps.

What type of noises are you getting ?

I did 2" and it clunks/ thumps when I enter a steep driveway at full lock

Did you install the king 2.5 kit ? I have it and didn't do the bearing because the shop I trusted didn't say anything about needing it. When I enter driveways the play evey buddy is talking about that the CVs have make a clunking/thumping. FYI

The ECGS bushing isn't sold as a fix for suspension clunking/thumping. It solves a hum/vibration that appears in 2wd around 35-40 mph on some lifted trucks, but can on stock rigs also, due to slop in the front differential DS oem needle bearing. 99% of the time it can be diagnosed by putting the TC into 4H to see if the hum/vibration stops. If it does, the bushing is a solution.

    Thanks for this brotha !

After my offroad weekend. The knocking and clunking has actually gone away on full lock going into a driveway.

But ! Now I've been noticing a vibration like this video explains. But only at low speeds. In the 4th Gen I feel it in my brake pedal. I have an appointment with an offroad shop this Thursday to have him Inspect the the that 88 rotors did. Which btw. I'm starting so realize that they are horrible at what they do. They are a blow and go shop. They install your kit, take your money and don't help you fix anything thag might have been created by the kit installed. I am a business owner my self and this is not a good way of doing business, IMO.
