I can't remember ever having a white Christmas here in Salisbury NC. We've have some good snow falls from January to March, but I've been here 20 Plus years.

I was primarily a trim carpentry subcontractor, made custom cabinets on occasion, and subbed the framing for a few new homes.
I even did insurance restoration jobs on homes damaged by fire or flooding.
I was good at it.
But I was very glad to retire.

I've been asked, now that I'm retired, whether I enjoy making stuff in my shop just for fun.
Fuck no

Puttering around a wood working shop when you're retired is for guys who never got to work with their hands.
If they get some satisfaction from that, good on them.
Not me, done that.

Before I retired, however, I did on occasion make doodads in my shop when I was between projects.
