With all of the uncertainties life brings, there are some things that need not be questioned.

Will the sun return to us in the morning? Will green leaves grow again as the days get longer? Will a bear relieve himself in the shaded comfort of the forest? Will Tim prove that he can get through absolutely everything in 2 wheel drive?

Rest easy friends, do not doubt… the answer to such questions is always, yes.

Car care nut had a post mortem video on some blown V8 head gaskets. There were some sections of the sealing surface that were really small, which apparently make them really susceptible to degradation from old coolant. The unfortunate thing is that the leaks in the V8 are between cylinder and the water passage, instead of between a passage and the outside of the engine.

    Okay, now I'm confused.

Maybe I'll look at mine this weekend.

I've never seen a tarantula in the wild. But, my ex and I did have a pink toed tarantula as a pet for a little while. It mostly hung out in the little cage, but it was kind of cool to take it out and let it walk on your hands.

One night, we got home after a night of drinking and discovered that the cats had tipped over the tarantula cage and the tarantula was nowhere to be seen. For a few minutes we thought there was no way we were getting any sleep that night. But, we eventually found it on the ceiling.

Hey @Pixeltim did I miss the whole calendar thing? Is there a calendar happening this year? Just need to know if I should order a TW one... Its my scheduling method for the summer and it is time to start planning.

He was noticing a trend of similar failure modes on UR series v8 head gaskets. The unfortunate star of the video was a pretty nice 200 series LC.

I am working on it as we speak. I've recently had some issues that delayed me but it will happen.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
I'm, as usual, in for a calendar. Just let me know what I owe.

If you did go that route, what would be your next purchase?

ive pondered a lot of things over the past week... honestly I have no idea. most of my driving these days has been the GRC but I still need something for towing and hauling crap around.

:smack: do it every 75k. It's cheap insurance. And no, if its pink, it is not automatically good. That's awful advice for any fluid (substitute pink for whatever color it's supposed to be lol)
