Hey guys, I’m brand new here and I’m hoping for some help with sizing up and figuring out which offset is good for me. I’m purchasing a FiberWerx pre runner style 6 inch flare body kit (fronts and rears) and want my wheels to sit flush with the kit, how much of a wheel offset would I need to accomplish this?

What does 6" flair kit really mean? If its actually 6" (thats insane), then the obvious would be at least an additional positive 6" (150mm).

We also don't know what your rim width and offset is presently to base the new guesstimate off of. Are you changing width and rim size?

@1 Limited Toyota those are both great points man, so FiberWerx advertises the kit at 6 inches of flair and 3 inches of rise. I’m not entirely sure if that equates to a “true six” or not. But I am keeping the width and rim size the same as stock or as close to stock as I can

So if you’re keeping a stock size wheel what’s the plan to push out the wheel that far. It’s not gonna be possible. Plus if you even pushed a wider wheel out that far. The scrub radius is gonna horrible and make it pia to clear the cab mount. Also are doing any kind of lift or hight modifications?

Looking on the FW website all those trucks appear to be running long arm kits on them. Is that your plan?

Yes, I’m planning to do a full suspension swap (further down the road) which now that I’m thinking abt it would be a huge help to getting the offset and stance I want. Would control arms give me that major of a “bump out”? Because if that were the case I could probably get away with only slightly exposing my wheels and tires now and waiting on the FW kit.

IMO. I’d do research as to exactly your plan and what’s needed. Then get all the funds together and do it all at once. Personally that’s what I’d do.

Cool your jets rocket-03. your getting the cart before the horse... or more like wheels before the mods... First things first. The mods will change the measurements.

I’m definitely seeing that now, you guys seriously just saved me a ton of headaches (and most likely some wasted dough) I really appreciate it. I like what @gotoman1969 said about waiting till all my funds are in order and throwing everything on at once after some research.
