So had a buddy show up on a job today who had ghosted me months back with no explanation, known him since I was 18. I had a gut feeling, so he came up the stairs and I yelled “your wife got a fn issue with me?!” so the other two coworker could witness what I expected was the answer. He took a sec and was like ‘..yeah’. Ive known him for 20 years, we work together, both electricians, brother and sister type deal like calling each other ‘twat, fuckface, etc’ (not even remotely each others type, never even a thought) but apprently she went through his phone, which in itself is both sad and comical, and the only thing in our text history that he said made her have an insecurity meltdown was after we put about two miles of conduit in the ground earlier this spring I had texted asking about parts he used so I could do the billing paperwork and said “nice job today loser, you lay some mean pipe” (implying he sucks dicks). LMAO.
I let him have it about not having a sack to let me know the issue but just ghosting me instead when I was trying to contact him about electrical shit or upcoming jobs. Not gonna lie, that one stung a bit given how long we’ve been friends. Just too immature for me to even want to bother with. The other two coworkers were beside themselves and spent the next few hours roasting the absolute shit out of him. He asked me for some 8/32 screws a little while after that and I told him to fuck right off.

Happy Winter Solstice! The daylight starts getting longer, especially in AK. Reuben Eaton, NWS meteorologist and host of the half hour "Alaska Weather" program explained that the days feel shorter after the solstice because the period shifts earlier during the first couple weeks. I met him in our office as the NWS Anchorage Forecast Office would send their staff around the state to visit other communities and schools, so they'd know the locations and how to pronounce the names they'd talk about. Solstice Sunday, Candlelight services Tuesday, and the last Sunday of the year will observe 8 weeks post surgery (after three abdominal surgeries, I expect this to be my last, and will try to make it so.)
