Welp, so much for that experiment. Pretty sure these pulleys arent meant to be stuffed with new bearings (or im bad at it). Within 5 minutes of idling it walked out and started eating into the washer.

Come to think of it, when i did this on the taco, that one was held in via snap ring. This press in only setup is for sure cheaper. I wonder what the setup is on a same year toyota engine overseas.

    Ghost of Tsushima on PC

Released a few months ago but finally bought it cause it went on sale (came out on Playstation long before that but was recently ported over).

Digging the storyline, but the environment is absolutely beautiful

    You're playing it?

I read a lot of good things so it's definitely on the list to buy!

When on sale of course lol

I mean I don’t really have a need but I am apparently kinda a part collector… I bought a spare transmission, transfer case and front diff from a local member just because they were cheap. PM me some details, maybe I can build another 1st gen from scraps

If nothing else let’s grab a beer when you are down here!

Nice. Yeah my friend has a fairly built one, he’s ran into a cam/crank correlation code he can’t get any shop to touch it with his tune and everything, was curious if you’d ever seen that. I imagine it’s got something to do with shit that’s been done to it tho

Truck did some truck things today pushing his wagoner into the garage. Love this thing, my dad used to have one IMG_6662.jpg
Going to be sweet when it’s running

Badging on the side, it's a real Z?

Don't hear of many people swapping cams on those as they're good out of the box for a turbo already.

Yeah it’s a real z. It’s na, but the motors been fully built, cams, pistons, head, crank, injectors pump etc etc. it’s just been endless problems for him though

    Could you imagine
Not that a single component in my drive train could handle that

It's less Tacoma and more mod
You'd be surprised what they can hold up to. The R series transmissions are good well into the 600 horsepower range. The front diff and transfer case are the weakest points really. Also if you go down to a 8-in Toyota rear end like the E-Locker those are weaker than the 8.4. but still a basic 5.3 LS with a camshaft and a mild port job on the heads is going to make roughly 400 to the crank, I already know they can handle that just fine because I'm over that to the wheels.

That's the least of your worries, you'd need driver mod first :luvya:
