They told us in training that it takes 4 to 7 minutes to bleed out, depending on the injury and situation.
The national response time for 911 to just get to the scene is 14 minutes.

That means it is highly likely an ambulance will not be the party best equipped to stop the bleed. People on scene will be.

@calzonical I have a "cheap mans" bed mat, it is a horse stall mat from Tractor supply. The bags will not slip at all.

Same here. The only part of the mat the slides around the bed is the small "cut to fit the side gaps" sections just back of the wheel wells. The rest pf the mat stays put. $50.

5 years and 78k on the clock and the temperature was a brisk 18 degrees this AM has me thinking I'd hate to get stranded because of a battery. The OG battery in my mostly stock SR was manufactured on 1/13/20, so better safe than sorry.... especially since I gave my jump pack to my mom back in July because her Jeep Liberty has electrical gremlins and sometimes decides not to start.

I had a fair amount of corrosion/dried acid on the tiedown...
    IMG_20241221_092133307.jpg

I was initially going to buy a cool new tiedown kit, but why... I hate spending loot on crap I really don't need... $30+ on a part I already have, although for some reason I was set on buying a new aluminum one . So I'm going to clean up the stocker and paint it.....
    IMG_20241221_094820113_HDR.jpg

Not ideal painting weather... We got a dusting of snow last night...but it's gotta get done..the battery is out.
    IMG_20241221_094512509.jpg

My son took me to the closest Toyota dealership and I scored a new Toyota OEM 60 month warrantied battery for $166.46. this was the chepest 24F batteryI could find in my general area that had more than a 1 year warranty. Not bad I thought...
    IMG_20241221_130214488~3.jpg

Grabbed a set of these felt corrosion protective pads for a buck... Because what costs a buck anymore?
    IMG_20241221_130428554.jpg

    What came out....
    IMG_20241221_091401916_HDR.jpg

    What went in....
    IMG_20241221_130805483.jpg

All buttoned up ... The paint wasn't 100% dry, but it's good enough.. I should be golden for another 5 years!
